i ALWAYS use Lee Stafford poker straight heat defence! it helps your look stay straight for hours!it smells ace too! hope that helps!

I was recommended a spray at the beauty shop. It was like oil but I found that it was damaging my hair more. Before I wouldn't use anything and my hair was healthier.

You can do either. A straightening balm of some kind gives good results, but when I didn't use anything, my hair looked just as good. It wasn't quite as manageable, but no major significant difference.

If you are going to use the Chi iron, I suggest you also use there styling products which cost around 15-30 dollars.

I recommend REDKEN, it says's satin wear 02 the ultimate blow dry lotion. i have a chi as well and my hairstylist told me that you don't have to apply product like the gooy stuff before hand. So the lotion before you blow dry is totally appropriate! Made my hair soft and friZz was eliminated.

You should not put anything in your hair before you use a straightening iron. First dry your hair with a blowdryer and straighten with a brush. Then use the iron from the roots to the end. Afterwards apply your styling products to prevent fly-aways.

You might also want to look into the CHI blowdryer, it's awesome. If you brush straight while drying it's almost the same effect as the iron.

You just straighten ur hair becausr my hair is a curly mess and nothing but it ,when i staighten my hair every day paul mitchels or chi`s are the best because when i leave my hair curly noone beleives it`s actually my hair lol well of course you would want 2 put something in it like hairspray but they`re are the best.
