Do chi flat irons fry your hair?

i have a chi and i want to know if they burn,or fry your hair before i use it. i mean i dont want to abuse my hair.

Do chi flat irons fry your hair?

It is frying mine! Eeks. Try a Conair ceramic one.

Do chi flat irons fry your hair?

if you use it every day without a protecting agent spray then yes it probably will. but i have owned a Chi 1inch for 2 years and my hair stylist says that my hair is really healthy.

buy a spray that protects your hair from frying. all brands make one.

Do chi flat irons fry your hair?

no they don't. i use one every day!!

Which Chi hair straightener should i get?

I really want a Chi hair straightener but there are many different types. My hair is semi-thick and wavy. Any help would be great. Thanks =)

Which Chi hair straightener should i get?

I recommend the one inch model. Not only is the medium width easy to work with, but it is more versatile and will allow you to create waves and ringlets that you cannot achieve with a wider model.

Which Chi hair straightener should i get?

I say you should get a Sedu hair straightener, I researched it for a while (I was going to get a Chi too) and eventually settled on it myself.

It works like a charm and I actually get compliments on how straight my hair is. (:

My hair sounds pretty similar to yours, too.

Which Chi hair straightener should i get?

I have the two inch turbo one, and I have semilong, thick, curly hair. It takes me about 10 minutes to get it completely straight!

Which Chi hair straightener should i get?

get the wireless one[:

Which Chi hair straightener should i get?

how long is your hair? if it isn't super long, i suggest getting a 1 inch, for starters. they are just so much more versatile.

i use the blue nano chi in the salon i'm at, but if you are the only person using the iron, then i recommend the chi ultra. it is going to get your hair super straight and you can curl or flip or whatever with it as well.

FHI is also a really good iron to check into. it is made by farouk (the same company that makes chi) and i know a lot of stylist that greatly prefer it over chi. it gets hotter than chi irons do.

my favorite iron is by ghd (http://www.ghdhair.com) but it is little more expensive.

Which Chi hair straightener should i get?

get the one inch that way you can get closer to the roots...

Which Chi hair straightener should i get?

I have used quite a few different flat irons but Chi, by far, gets the best results! The classic 1" is the best.

Make sure you use a producte on your hair to protect it from the heat.

Which Chi hair straightener should i get?

my family went thru 5 CHI in 3 yrs. Chi breaks within a

few months and you have to pay $35 plus shipping to get

it fixed.

Chi is being recalled now due to fire hazards. see:

Yes, CHI sucks!

I have reallyyyyyy curly hair. How do i get it really straight. What kind of CHI straightner would i

From what i heard MAxiglide works wonders.

But if you want to go with a Chi Straightner go for it. But make sure to use heat protectant ( nexxus heat protectant or any other brands you can find in store) and use a Straightening serum such as Garnier Fructus Anti Frizz Serum. You hair will be straight as you can imagine!

I have reallyyyyyy curly hair. How do i get it really straight. What kind of CHI straightner would i get?

Just Throw Some D's On That *****

I have reallyyyyyy curly hair. How do i get it really straight. What kind of CHI straightner would i get?

revolen straighter

I have reallyyyyyy curly hair. How do i get it really straight. What kind of CHI straightner would i get?

CHI straightener? Well, I feel your pain about the curly hair. I got my hair relaxed a few years ago, but it still had to be blown out and then have a straightening iron put through it. If you need a straightener, make sure you get a gold plated one - they get hotter and work better on really curly/thick hair.

I have reallyyyyyy curly hair. How do i get it really straight. What kind of CHI straightner would i get?

use biosilk, it is awsome

I have reallyyyyyy curly hair. How do i get it really straight. What kind of CHI straightner would i get?

ceramic straighter and crank up the heat! You also can find spay you can use along with the iron

I have reallyyyyyy curly hair. How do i get it really straight. What kind of CHI straightner would i get?

Dont get straight SO MANY PEOPLE have straight. Crly is unique and flat irons never work. If ur hair is frizzy use anti friz creame or shampoo. Use styling gel and hairspray and u will look great!

I have reallyyyyyy curly hair. How do i get it really straight. What kind of CHI straightner would i get?

curly hairs?? .. i hav thm.. n trust me.. ever since i was a junior at High School i absolutely hated those curls!!! .. but now in college whn i realized tht i hav no time for grt hair do for a 8 am class .. i had to let thm.. go curly!!.. but guess wht, i started getting grt comments frm ppl abut curls.. it really isnt all tht bad. i don't really knw the answer to ur question but i wud suggest tht in case u cant straighten thm.. thn.. work w/the curls n waves of ur hair!... its natural .. so a1-2-3 step for u to work it out grt!.. use gel n deep conditioners n wear thm the way u want.. plus if its long.. thn consider the stress halved!!..

good luck :)

I have reallyyyyyy curly hair. How do i get it really straight. What kind of CHI straightner would i get?

I have thin, fine hair. Any recommendations on a good blow dryer to get? Are Chi's worth the mo

CHI are a good brand. Remmeber that different blow dryers do different things. CHI are very hot and not a lot of hair. If your hair is fine and fragile, that may not be the best combo for you. Speak to a professional about what would be best for your everyday needs.

I have thin, fine hair. Any recommendations on a good blow dryer to get? Are Chi's worth the money? Thanks!

Oh yeah CHI's are defintally worth the money and last long.

: )

I have thin, fine hair. Any recommendations on a good blow dryer to get? Are Chi's worth the money? Thanks!

Ghis are worth the money. They dont damage your hair and they always leave it soft an d shiny.

Chi blow dryer with nozzel attachment.

I have thin, fine hair. Any recommendations on a good blow dryer to get? Are Chi's worth the money? Thanks!

DO NOT BLOW DRY YOUR HAIR!!! if anything, wrap it in the towel. Like a raghead or a turban. DIRKA DIRKA!

I have thin, fine hair. Any recommendations on a good blow dryer to get? Are Chi's worth the money? Thanks!

So, the Chi hair dryer is most likely a good dryer. Their products are wonderful! If you have thin hair, any dryer will dry it in less than 5 minutes anyways, so why put in all that money for something that you are gonna use 5 minutes a day? Just go to Target and get one. =) If you are worried about it frying your hair, just put it on a warm setting instead of hot. And put some kind of heat protectant in it.

I have thin, fine hair. Any recommendations on a good blow dryer to get? Are Chi's worth the money? Thanks!

oh yeah...they are great

Does the Chi Turbo straightening iron emit steam from it, while your ironing your hair?

For example, if your using it at its highest temperature. Thanks.

Does the Chi Turbo straightening iron emit steam from it, while your ironing your hair?

yes mine always does ..its not that it iss a bad thing it is just that you might want to get damage control spray soo you dont damage your hair. or like fry it because then it looks bad soo i would go to a hair store and but some damage ccontrol spray and just spray that in your hair before you straighten it.

Hair Trouble?

I straighten my hair every morning and it looks great when I walk out the door but by the time I get to school its all unstraight at the ends, I have a CHI and use a little hairspray, what shoudl I do?

Hair Trouble?

You need to use a smoothing system on your hair along with the Chi to straighten your hair. I like BioSilk or Matrix Sleek, Redken Smooth Down, then use all the products in thse lines, shampoo contitioner, smoothing cream, lock in spray and oil shine. If you use a whome line they all work together so your hair will stay smooth until you shampoo it again

Hair Trouble?

Use gel or a different hairspray and maybe try using more hairspray..good luck by the way.

Hair Trouble?

use you hood.

Hair Trouble?

tye a scarf around ur head b4 u go 2 sleep(silk scarf), and every tyme u go on bathroom break @ skool, comb ur hair out.

Hair Trouble?

use an ion straightener. they're almost $200 but well worth it. the hair keeps its style even in high humidity.

Hair Trouble?

your hair is unperect unlike mine. guive up youll never be as priitty as mwa

How to Straighten Hair

Which hair straightener is better? CHI, Sedu or something else?

I'm thinking about getting CHI but I'm a little hesitant because I hear so many people saying how short its durability is. I don't want pay so much money only to have it stop working after a few months.

So can you recommend me a good hair straightener(or convince me that CHI really is worth buying)? I don't really care about the price, but I don't want it to be too expensive like GHD.

Which hair straightener is better? CHI, Sedu or something else?

girl, i use a chi on my hair (and im naturally curly) and it does wonders! it is worth buying, and unless you don't care for it, then it will go into disrepair quickly, always keep it clean, follow the directions on the box, and when you're done using it, put it away. just take good care of it and it will last for a long time

Which hair straightener is better? CHI, Sedu or something else?

I use a CHI and I think it's great! I've used it for 1 or 2 years so far (I can't remember exactly how long) It straightens my hair good and it heats up really fast so you don't have to wait on it. Hope I helped!

Which hair straightener is better? CHI, Sedu or something else?

Hey, I own a CHI foro 2 months, and it hasnt conked on me yet. My friend has had hers for 2 years, my other friend for 1, and my other for 10 months. It is reaaaaaaaaally good! OMG ITS SOOO NICE

Which hair straightener is better? CHI, Sedu or something else?

Futura from Rusk is a good one and the price is quite affordable.

But you have to but it from the Beauty Salon.

Which hair straightener is better? CHI, Sedu or something else?

My favorite is my hot tools. You have to get it in a salon but it is about $50. I have had mine for almost 3 years.

Which hair straightener is better? CHI, Sedu or something else?

The chi is the best. Its pretty expensive ( 100-150) But its worth every penny.

Paul Mitchelle hair straitener?

i went to get a haircut at this really nice salon, its called the Arcs and all they use is Paul Mitchelle products. and she used a Paul Mitchelle straitener on my hair, it was so cool...the temp setting goes from 175 to like 400. anyway. the chi straitener doesn't have a temp setting. what do yall think? which one is better?

Paul Mitchelle hair straitener?

My sis has the Paul mitchell, we call it pauly! I like it way better than the chi. The Chi is great, but the P.M. is just great....like you said, the temp settings can vary so you don't have to burn you hair.....it has also lasted a pretty long time....lots longer than other staighteners ive used! I reccomend it! It will cost ya more than a chi tho...... you can get them at trade secret I know and they gave her full bottles of the p.m. super skinny shampoo and conditioner free with purchase!

Paul Mitchelle hair straitener?

I absolutely love the PM straightener. I was trained to use it many many years ago and It has never failed me.

Paul Mitchelle hair straitener?

Okay, I have to admit, I've never had the pleasure of using a PM straightener, so I have to say Chi for me, but I love everything Paul Mitchell, and a heat setting would be a plus!!! Thin hair doesn't need all the heat from a Chi, but thick hair does.

Chi Flat Iron for thin hair?

Does anyone have thin hair and use the Chi Flat Iron? I want to buy one and they are rather expensive so I would like to know if anyone uses it already and if it burns or drys out your hair (if it's thin)

Chi Flat Iron for thin hair?

I would definatly go for the CHI, but make sure you get products to put in your hair before you flat iron. Chi makes one it is to protect you from the heat damage while your hair is wet you will spray it in comb it through with a wide tooth comb and let hair dry i would let it air dry since you are going to flat iron it. Once dry take small sections and iron it. Another product that you can put in before if CHI is too expensive (i can't remember the price off hand) is Biosilk Silk Therapy be careful though with that use only a small amount and it goes on dry hair. If you use too much it will make you look like a grease head.

Chi Flat Iron for thin hair?

My missus says remington is best.

Chi Flat Iron for thin hair?

I used to work in a retail store that carried many high end products. The Chi was our number one selling straight iron. I would never ever use anything else on my hair again. They have a life-time warranty if it ever breaks and the store I worked for took back the defective ones for up to a year and then it was through Farouk. I would definitely invest in a Chi.

Which hair straightner is better - Chi or Jilbere?

Which hair straightner is better? I need one that has temperature control .. I believe some of the Chis only have a on/off switch. I don't want a super cheap one that'll end up damaging my hair too much in the long run. So which one do you use - Chi or Jilbere? And are you happy with it?

Thanks!!!

Which hair straightner is better - Chi or Jilbere?

I have a Jilbere and the temperature control recently broke. I have had it for over 2 years and I really do like it. i got it for $50 at Sallys beauty supply. (A fair price) I'm going to get a new one and I'm also debating between the 2. I will probably go for the Chi. They are the #1 selling straighteners.

Hope this helps!!!!

Which hair straightner is better - Chi or Jilbere?

i have an infiniti. it works just as good as a chi(my mom has one) and there a power button, and theres 4 different temperatures. 310 330 360 and 395. and it doesnt damage your hair as bad as a lot of streighteners do.

Which hair straightner is better - Chi or Jilbere?

I have a jilbere straightener and I love it! It works great, you can get the titanium or ceramic plate and they both work fabulous. I highly recommend it.

Which hair straightner is better - Chi or Jilbere?

I have a chi.

You are correct that do only have an on and off switch.

For temperature control on the chi.

I just turn it off and on, when I feel its getting too hot.

I'm very happy with my hair.

It hasn't damaged my hair, yet.

Everyone always tells me how healthy my hair looks.

Which hair straightner is better - Chi or Jilbere?

Chi.

Which hair straightner is better - Chi or Jilbere?

chi works good, but damages hair, never heard of a jilbere

Which hair straightner is better - Chi or Jilbere?

i use chi.

it is the best straightner i have ever used.

it works so good.

and it doesnt damage my hair.

it has an on/off switch and thats all,

but it works great.

you should get it!

Which hair straightner is better - Chi or Jilbere?

I have a Jilbere Ceramic Series, and I absolutely love it. It heats up fast, it doesn't damager my hair that much, and it was only $50 from a Sally Beauty Supply. I'd definitely go for the Jilbere

Which hair straightner is better - Chi or Jilbere?

the chi turbo has a temp. control

Which hair straightner is better - Chi or Jilbere?

I have the kremb and it works really really really well.

What is the best flat iron out there for hair? CHI is rather expensive?

I just wanted to know of maybe there is another brand at a more affordable price that does just as good of a job. I got one from walmart a while back and it is horrible!!!

What is the best flat iron out there for hair? CHI is rather expensive?

look on ebay you can get some hair straighteners on there at 鎷?4.99 the name of them is SHE and they are just as good as ghds which are 鎷?9.00 and those are top quality.

What is the best flat iron out there for hair? CHI is rather expensive?

Yea CHI are there is another one i use its pink but i dont know the brand well it says it is a dosntion for breast cancer

What is the best flat iron out there for hair? CHI is rather expensive?

Check out the website that has flat iron reviews, you can search by price range. good luck!

What is the best flat iron out there for hair? CHI is rather expensive?

Try using one by Babyliss, they are still salon flat irons but not as expensive as the CHI brand, they start at under $100 for the small travel ones and go from there

What is the best flat iron out there for hair? CHI is rather expensive?

What you need to make sure is that it is ceramic. The ceramic heats evenly so that it does not develop hot spots and burn your hair. I paid like $24 for mine at Target.

Good luck

What is the best flat iron out there for hair? CHI is rather expensive?

CHI are the best!! but they are expensive $100 or more but i heard that there is this one of revlon it's white and affordable and works really well i don't remember the name though but i think you can find it in Sally beauty supplies

What is the best flat iron out there for hair? CHI is rather expensive?

I have a CHI TURBO and don't even use it. I love Rusk its kind of inbetween with price and a good one is always Hot Tools.

What is the best flat iron out there for hair? CHI is rather expensive?

I use vidal sassoon ceramic it's black and the inside is gold.It works for me. Got it at Walmart .

What is the best flat iron out there for hair? CHI is rather expensive?

I've heard good things about Babyliss and Remington, but I'm not sure how any of those cost, so I would look and see on http://www.amazon.com or something. Also, this may sound odd, but I thought Revlon worked pretty good on my hair.

What is the best flat iron out there for hair? CHI is rather expensive?

im also lookin for a good one

What is the best flat iron out there for hair? CHI is rather expensive?

i am not sure.. but let me kno if yu find one...........lol.......... a ceramic one

What is the best flat iron out there for hair? CHI is rather expensive?

I recommend CHI or another brand called InfraShine, but as long as it has true ceramic plates (meaning not coated, as it can just come off over time), it should be a good one. I also think spending a lot of money on a good flat iron is better than buying 3 or 4 cheap ones.

Happy ironing! :o)

What is the best flat iron out there for hair? CHI is rather expensive?

Sharper image has an amazing ceramic flat iron. It runs about $59.99. My hair is thick and wavy and it leaves it supple and stick straight. WALMART IS EVIL

What is the best flat iron out there for hair? CHI is rather expensive?

gold n hot or conair

What is the best flat iron out there for hair? CHI is rather expensive?

Where can you buy a CHI straightener with a lifetime guarantee?

I heard about the lifetime guarantee from my sister's friend who bought hers at her hair dressers but I am wondering if there are any other places closer to my home that you can get a CHI. I looked online a folica only seems like it has a one year guarantee on CHIs and this is the same I believe with the store ULTA.

Where can you buy a CHI straightener with a lifetime guarantee?

The one place you can get it with a lifetime guarantee would be your local hair dressing shop. Why? Because if they sell it, they value your business and would rather that you come by more often -- even if it means that you have to get lifetime guarantee. No major link store will offer it, you can't dream of that. The most any link place will give you would be a 5 year guarantee.

Where can you buy a CHI straightener with a lifetime guarantee?

OMG.. Thats the best hair straightener... my cuz has it and it makes her hair super straight, silky, smooth, and shiny...... you can get it at JCPenny for $120.00 kk?

Can I use a chi straightener without heat protectant spray and still not burn my hair?

i heard that chi straighteners dont burn hair.

Can I use a chi straightener without heat protectant spray and still not burn my hair?

my boyfriend bought me a chi straightener a cpl years ago, and I used to use it almost every day for about a year, It came with shampoo, a treatment conditioner and a protective serum, I haven't used much of the shampoo and stuff but I've used the straightener many MANY times. My hair is fine, and that's why i love it so much, it doesn't damage my hair at all! also try the protective serum, it helps alot, adds nice shine and makes it look so so healthy!!

Can I use a chi straightener without heat protectant spray and still not burn my hair?

If it has multiple heat settings make sure you lose a medium setting or lower if you have fine or damaged hair. But try to ALWAYS use a thermal product. Something you get from your stylist.

Can I use a chi straightener without heat protectant spray and still not burn my hair?

I have never burned my hair with a chi or any other straightner and I have also never used a heat protectant spray

Can I use a chi straightener without heat protectant spray and still not burn my hair?

You will damage your hair no matter what you do.

Can I use a chi straightener without heat protectant spray and still not burn my hair?

all heat products burn hair, including blowdryers

NO MATTER WHAT ANYONE ELSE SAYS

heat damages and dries the hair so it needs some kind of protectant, even a leave in conditioner will do the trick

and the steam you occasionally see is just water, not the hair burning

Can I use a chi straightener without heat protectant spray and still not burn my hair?

i think you should always protect

Can I use a chi straightener without heat protectant spray and still not burn my hair?

my hair doesnt burn or fry and i have a chi and i never use protection spray...

Can I use a chi straightener without heat protectant spray and still not burn my hair?

They don't 'burn' your hair, but any application of heat is going to cause some damage- why would you want to subject your hair to any more damage than you have to? A heat protectant is just that; a protectant against heat damage. It also gives 'glide' to make the iron slide over the hair more easily, avoiding grabbing and breaking hair. If you are concerned with making your hair too flat or oily looking, there are many different products with different forms (drops, sprays, pomades...) and weights; Vinyl Glam by Redken is very lightweight.

Whenever you use a chi straightner is it really damaging you're hair?

a chi straightner is a hair product to straighten you're hair

Whenever you use a chi straightner is it really damaging you're hair?

Definitely if you keep the straightning iron in one spot for more than 1 second. The way to use them is one continuous stroke down the piece of hair or else you'll end up damaging your hair severely.

Whenever you use a chi straightner is it really damaging you're hair?

It doesnt damage your hair....Only depending on the straightener. Report It

Whenever you use a chi straightner is it really damaging you're hair?

Oh yeah it is.Try and do it sparingly. When you do use it, do not leave the iron in one spot more than a sec or two. Use a great conditioner and get a trim every 6 weeks. They are very addictive, and try to use one day of ironing to make it go for 2 days.I would advise not to colour and dye your hair as well as that is way too much stress for the hair.

Can you use a Chi straightener on damp hair?

I only have one plug outlet in my bathroom so I can only have the hairdryer and straightener plugged in one at a time. I just got a Chi flat iron and was wondering if you can use it on damp hair. Not wet, just like, this morning I sprayed it with a little leave-in conditioner before I straightened it so it was a little bit damp.

Thanks for your help. :)

Can you use a Chi straightener on damp hair?

No! Don't do it, I had a friend that used to do that and she fried her hair. If you do it you will hear your hair sizzle when the straightener touches it... not good. Chi straighteners are great though! Just let your hair air dry, then straighten it.

Can you use a Chi straightener on damp hair?

NO i OWULDNT

i JUST GOT ONE TOO

AND MY BROTHER HAD HIS HAIR DAMP AND HE USED IT AND MESSED IT UP! SO i WOULDNT! MKK

=]

Can you use a Chi straightener on damp hair?

first i would suggest getting a heat protection product, put on hair before blow drying or using a flat iron.

use the blow dryer to get your hair dry and then use the chi to smooth everything out. It shouldn't take to long for it to warm up and do the job. A flat iron should be used on dry hair

Can you use a Chi straightener on damp hair?

Chi is a good one!

Good choose. Never straighten hair when its wet...........You'll damage your hair, terribly.

Enjoy your flat iron!

Hair Straighteners: Bed Head or Conair???

Ok, CHI is NOT an option for me! I'm WELL aware its the best, but I CANNOT get one! There are TWO others that have caught my eye, which one of these would be better?

- Bed Head Tourmaline Hair Straightener

- Conair Infiniti Instant Heat

If there is a better one in this price range ($60-$70), please let me know!

Also, is it better to get a 1" or a 2"?

Hair Straighteners: Bed Head or Conair???

I use Bedhead and I'm in love with it. I have never been happier with a hair straightner.

Hair Straighteners: Bed Head or Conair???

Ok, so i have a conair straightner.

A couple months ago I got a 1" conair that was horrible, a couple more months later i got the same straightner but 2" it works FANTASTIC.

Im not sure about the bed head, but personally conair is pretty good for me ( my hairs just normal, so its not to easy to straighten, and not to hard.)

Hair Straighteners: Bed Head or Conair???

I'd go with bed head

Hair Straighteners: Bed Head or Conair???

crotch

Hair Straighteners: Bed Head or Conair???

conair for me my hair is thick and wavyand it does a great job 2 inch works the best

Hair Straighteners: Bed Head or Conair???

you can get an off brand of the chi at sallys that is in that price range!

otherwise, go with the bed head. it depends on the length of your hair as to which size to get. if it is long, i would get the larger. if you want to use it on med-short hair i would get the smaller, besides you can curl hair with a 1 in and flip the hair with it. it is also easier to get closer to the scalp with a one inch!

What are the brands of the generic equivalent to "chi" the hair straightener(flat iron) br

Does anyone now the equivalent brands to "chi"?

And if they work just as well?

What are the brands of the generic equivalent to "chi" the hair straightener(flat iron) brand?

What are the brands of the generic equivalent to "chi" the hair straightener(flat iron) brand?

conair works pretty well, almost better then the chi

What are the brands of the generic equivalent to "chi" the hair straightener(flat iron) brand?

At Sally's They have a lot of Similar brands Just recently I got a heatmaster from Sally's and it works just as good and it was cheaper

I also have a ceramic series by Helen of Troy and it's Excellent also

Help straightening my hair?!?

I have really thick, poofy hair and it's hard to straighten. I've tried straightening in sections and layers but it still doesn't work very well. I don't know how to get my hair shiny and thin, like how they did it at the salon.

Also, I already have a really good flat iron, a pink Chi, so I don't think that's the problem.

Please help!!! Thanks :)

Help straightening my hair?!?

Chis are good :) but after my chi wore out i baught a good hair day straightener (ghd) and it worked alot better than a chi. When i used chi it made my hair have static. idk why though. lol. So at night takea little before you sleep, straighten your hair really good in sections. I spend alot of time doing it at night so it will look perfect. And when you get ready in the morning straighten over the parts that are wavy agian. :)

Help straightening my hair?!?

brush through your hair

then put heat protector on it

Help straightening my hair?!?

Try using straightening and smothing products before you straighten. Loreal has a good product, I think it's called Hot2Straight. Ask your stylist how they did your hair. If this is what your really want, buy the exact products they used and follow their instructions.

Help straightening my hair?!?

I ahve the same problem. i'm not really experienced with doing hair. I go to the Egyptians and get my hair done once a week or every two weeks. they use a blower that contains alot of heat and a roller brush. Plus it only costs $30 and you don't have to perm your hair.

Help straightening my hair?!?

blow dry your hair first, then use the flat iron. also try to find a straightening serum [i think john frieda makes one called "frizz ease"] and use that.

Help straightening my hair?!?

you could try a shampoo and conditioner for frizzy hair, then put heat protection spray/serum on. blow drying it straight before you straighten might make it less frizzy? the hair products at the salon probably made a huge difference so ask about them.

Help straightening my hair?!?

well ask the people at the salon i had the same primal but i try ed every thing so i cant tall you the name of the stuff to us but it comes i a Battle.

Help straightening my hair?!?

Me too- it'll take a miracle to make my hair completely straight.

When you find out, tell me!

Help straightening my hair?!?

i have similar hair and believe me when i say this..it will be your straighteners that you use! the straighteners that they use in salons are called GHD's...i have them now too and believe me..they work WONDERS on your hair..also about your straighteners..they might be to small...you should get larger ceramic straighteners for thicker hair... to make it shiny and soft use a coconut shampoo or even Head %26amp; Shoulders...when straightning your hair always use a heat protecting spray which prevents you losing hair and also gives you a nice shine...and finally a striaghtening tip... part your hair in the center and get 2 hair bobbles..take out a small section, replace the rest of hair in a bobble...striaghten over till straight then tie in a bobble..repeat until finished

hope i was helpful =] x

Help straightening my hair?!?

Always always use product. Especially when you use any type of heat on your hair. I have the same type of hair and am able to get in silky smooth with my CHI and some product. I use Pureology Super Straight, it has heat protection and relaxes any curl in my hair. Remember not to use to much of any product. I also recommend not buying anything over the counter. It is just bad for your hair. You can find all the product you need on ebay or amazon for reasonable prices.

Also I recommend using a round brush and blow dryer first before the iron. For your hair to come out super straight it has to be super dry. If it is not dry when you put the iron in it...the iron will do nothing. Any type of moisture will make you hair strand expand so all of your work will be for nothing. Also some thinning might help. Go hit up your local salon and ask them to remove some bulk from you hair. Also don't be afraid to ask your stylist for some pointers on what you can do to get what you are looking for.

Hope I helped.

Help straightening my hair?!?

Never towel dry ur hair, and when u shower, shampoo ur scalp not the end ( it will dry them) and conditioned ur ends and leave a shower cap for 10 mins before rinsing:

1. when ur hair is wet from a shower use a leave in shampoo to protect it (apply it at the ends of ur hair)

2. then apply a serum again to wet hair, distributing all around ur hair

3. part ur hairs in sections starting with the bottom part, blow dry it then using a fine toothed comb to comb through hair after its straight

4. work ur way up

5. If your hair is pin straight apply a pomade like garnier fructise

6. If its not, use ur straitening iron to give it the finishing touch

7. remember to add the pomade at the end

Does anyone know anything about the X-CHI Pro hair straightner? I can't find anything about it

I found an add for an X-CHI Pro for only $50. I have googled it and everything but I can't find anything out about it, does anyone know if that is a real product or if it is a knock off?

Does anyone know anything about the X-CHI Pro hair straightner? I can't find anything about it online!?

What Happened to My Hair?

When I was much younger I had very straight blondish hair; now it's brown and curly.

Sometimes I say to myself, "I wish I was born with straight hair. oh wait, I was."

What happened?

MAIN QUESTION:

Is there anyway I can get my straight hair back, naturally?

NOTE WELL:

* I already straighten my hair with a chi, and I'm not too proud of that.

* I'm hesitant to chemical straightening because I heard it can make your hair thin.

What Happened to My Hair?

No dude. there is nothing you can really do...but actually depending on how strong the bonds of your hair are you might be able to relax it by straightening it everyday. I straightened my hair for about 3 years and eventually it lost its wave and yeah...it's not completely straight but way more than before.

But as for the chemical relaxer...if its not done right it can actually be worse than bleaching it.

Good luck.

What Happened to My Hair?

i dont think there is anything else you can do.

go to the salon and get a straighter put on it is the only thing i cant think of.

and after that you'll most likely have to still straighten it with a straightener at home.

sorry.

hope itll work out.

CHI flat iron. curls hair 0r urban myth?

i just bought a $170 CHI 1" flat iron. The reason i bought it was because it is fantastic, comes from a fantastic company, and is versatile. But is it versatile? i heard from a description of this specific model, that it can also curl your hair. but how can a flat iron, become a curl iron?please reply if you know how i can use my CHI flat iron as a curling iron, and please explain the steps..lol...thank you :)

CHI flat iron. curls hair 0r urban myth?

yes it can curl your hair/

while going down your hair (starting from the top) flip your hair outwards hard. keep doing that till you rech the end of your hair. it will curl

CHI flat iron. curls hair 0r urban myth?

i curled mine but im not good at explaining.

CHI flat iron. curls hair 0r urban myth?

you like, straighten it then go to the end of your hair %26amp; just flip it as it was a curling iron. (w. the ends of ur hair between the plates)

What is the price of a CHI hair straightener from a suppliers store?

I don't know if you have Harmon Beauty Supply near you, ( am in the tri-state area), they are currently on sale for 99.99.

What is the price of a CHI hair straightener from a suppliers store?

it is around 120-140 dollars. but it is worth it! they are they best!

What is the price of a CHI hair straightener from a suppliers store?

Usually about $150. I suggest the Wet-N-Straight straightener. Though you can't use it on wet hair like the company says, it works just like a CHI on dry hair and it's only $29.99.

What is the price of a CHI hair straightener from a suppliers store?

it's $120 usually

and they're NOT the best

Sedu is considered the best, and it's about $100, but Solia is considered one of the best too and it's $85

What is the price of a CHI hair straightener from a suppliers store?

Usually like if u wanan get it somewhere like cheaper i would say Target and it's about $115 between 120. It depends which one u decide to get. Also i reccomend the Hai.. That is an awesome straightener it heats up to 400 degrees and it is about $75-80. It seems it's alittle cheaper than the chi but it works just as good. Thats the pricing for the one i have .. Here's a website to look @

I need a hair straightener, other than a Chi?

Okay, I like to straighten my hair. But when I use a Chi, it makes my hair as flat as a pancake. I like strait hair, but not so flat. So what is a good hair straightener, other than a Chi, which is pretty affordable? Thanks for the help!!

I need a hair straightener, other than a Chi?

Try a chi on a lower temperature

I need a hair straightener, other than a Chi?

Anything ceramic! :D Or, if you use a chi, get some volumizing gel, put it on when hair is wet, blowdry hair, then straighten it. I had the same problem.

I need a hair straightener, other than a Chi?

I use the wet to straight straightener and its cheap..

it also doesnt seem to damage my hair at all and it doesnt make it too flat.

I need a hair straightener, other than a Chi?

Revlon Wet to Straight works good. Its what i used before i got a chi.

I need a hair straightener, other than a Chi?

well just try a chi on a lower temp and then when u get to the tip of the hair, curve it inside or out to give it a more natural look. or just straighten in layers!!!

hope this helps!!!

I need a hair straightener, other than a Chi?

ion?

I need a hair straightener, other than a Chi?

go to target and get a conair thats the one i have and it dosent make my hair flat

I have waist length wavy hair. I'm using the most recommended chi ceramic hair straightener.?

My hair remains straight for a couple of hours %26amp; then gets wavy again. I've seen people having so sleek hair after straightening. Should I be using some kind of straightening serum or cream prior to straightening with iron? Can u guys recommend something that helps to keep the hair straight %26amp; sleek for a whole day? Thanks.

I have waist length wavy hair. I'm using the most recommended chi ceramic hair straightener.?

I think that you're probably not straightning it right, because when I do it, it lasts at least 3 days, I have curly hair! Just make sure you separate your hair, and straighten it one inch at a time. Use any straightning serum!

I have waist length wavy hair. I'm using the most recommended chi ceramic hair straightener.?

if you live somewhere wet or humid, you're hair is gonna go back to the way it was eventually by the end of the day.

but using any serum, or any product will REALLY make the straight-ness stick.

put up the full heat on your iron tho. and do it more than once, to each strip/section to get it bone straight and for it to stay.

I have waist length wavy hair. I'm using the most recommended chi ceramic hair straightener.?

I have very coarse, thick, wavy hair and I too was frusrated with humidity and all the products out there that claimed to work but didn't. Then I found "Maxiglide" which has changed the way my hair looks for the better. Maxiglide is a hairstraightner that uses little combs and steam to make your hair look beautiful and shiny. It keeps your hair straight all day and I don't even use any hair products to help. You can get it on the internet, just search under Maxiglide by maxius several websites sell it. It worked GREAT for me and I hope it does the same for you.

maybe turn up the heat setting?

CHI or Paul Mitchell hair straightenters?

i always straighten my hair, and the cheap drugstore hair straighteners never work, so please don't recommend the wet to straight, revlon, or anything. They don't work.

But recently, my sister went to college and took our hair straightener that we shared. I'm looking into buying a CHI or Paul Mitchell.

Does anyone have an opinion on which is better? I haven't heard much about the paul mitchell...how is it?

thanks!

CHI or Paul Mitchell hair straightenters?

I personally love the CHI. All of the stylists in my salon, including myself, all use it. Its worth every penny.

CHI or Paul Mitchell hair straightenters?

Paul mitchell is the best !!!IT WORKS PERFECTLY and it doesnt damage your hair,it has diffrent heat settings, perfect

CHI or Paul Mitchell hair straightenters?

i have both and they work oh so well. i use the paul mitchel more because it protects my hair a lill while im striaghtening it. and because my CHI is broken. but they are both really good. i recommend both

CHI or Paul Mitchell hair straightenters?

sorri, i haven't heard of either... but the best by far has got to be ghd, i know sum1 hu has 1. its wiked! ive got andrew collinge... wudn't recommend it though ;)

Everyone that I know who has a Chi is absoloutely in love with it!!!

Has anyone ever used the chi infusion hair straightener before?

what's the difference between the chi infusion and the chi original?

Has anyone ever used the chi infusion hair straightener before?

i think the infusion heats up faster and is better for your hair

Has anyone ever used the chi infusion hair straightener before?

i dunno but the original chi rocks! its awesomly amazing lol

Has anyone ever used the chi infusion hair straightener before?

I've used the Chi straightener and it works so well! It seems like it takes seconds to straighten your hair after it's heated.

Chi, Elchim, or Babyliss hair dryer?

I am researching professional hair dryers. I have narrowed it down to CHI, Elchim, or Babyliss by the reviews on the internet. Does anyone have a favorite of these three brands? I have very fine hair that is colored and tends to frizz. I recently bought a CHI hot iron and it's fantastic so I am leaning toward a CHI dryer. Thanks!

Chi, Elchim, or Babyliss hair dryer?

you have a CHI hot iron?! no way those are like 300 dollars. wow

you should definitely get the CHI dryer :D

Our Chi loses hair all the time. What can I do to prevent that? Brushing doesn't help.?

do you have a long hair or a short hair ? if short hair or long hair there could be an allergy problem and it could be his food . it could be in his shampoo but i doubt it . Have you discussed this issue with the vet ? if not then I would talk with the vet about it and change his food and see if that helps. If she has dry skin get a shampoo from petsmart and they will help you to determine what is going on . good luck .I have a chi and i feed him royal canin mini pup 33 right now but will switch to royal canin chihuahua 28 when he is 8 mos old. good luck.

How do I remove burnt on hair spray/thermal protectant spray from a Chi flat iron?

The other day I was doing my hair with my Chi flat iron and Phyto Organics thermal protectant spray when it got burnt on the flat iron. So everytime I would run it through my hair it wouldn't glide smoothly it kinda stuck to my hair. Is there any way I can remove the burnt on spray?

How do I remove burnt on hair spray/thermal protectant spray from a Chi flat iron?

Turn the CHI iron off, let it cool all the way down, and get a damp cloth (no excess water). Wipe all the stuff off.

How do I remove burnt on hair spray/thermal protectant spray from a Chi flat iron?

"Easy Off" oven cleaner.

How do I remove burnt on hair spray/thermal protectant spray from a Chi flat iron?

Cool iron, unplug and use alcohol on cotton balls to remove buildup.

How do I remove burnt on hair spray/thermal protectant spray from a Chi flat iron?

let your flat iron warm up and once is really warn get a rag and clean it with that make sure u don't burn

How do I remove burnt on hair spray/thermal protectant spray from a Chi flat iron?

oh god i know exactly how you feel, i have a blue chi.

you should turn it off, and let it cool down.

then take a paper towel, and wet it. DO NOT PUT SOAP ON IT.

then just like rub the blades. try not to get too much water into it.

How do I remove burnt on hair spray/thermal protectant spray from a Chi flat iron?

Freeze It And then use a chemical solven that is at room temperature most likely CLR would work best and use a dish scrub for cleaning dishes ive had that problem hundreds of times hats why i moved my ironing board out of my bathroom

How do I remove burnt on hair spray/thermal protectant spray from a Chi flat iron?

Try turning the iron on until it is hot. Then wet a wash rage (that you do not clean your face with) and hold it on the iron to moisten the hair product and wipe clean. Good Luck!!!!!

How do I remove burnt on hair spray/thermal protectant spray from a Chi flat iron?

Well I'm currently in cosmetology school and whenever we want to clean off our hot tools we use relaxer. As crazy as that may sound to you, this is what professionals use. What you do is heat up your hot iron and then turn it off but apply the relaxer to it while it is hot. Let it sit on the iron for about 20 seconds or so (it may sizzle but thats okay) then wipe it off with a dry towel and follow up with a wet one to remove excess. If there is a lot of build up, this may need to be repeated. Trust me, it works like a charm and leaves the palates as smooth as the day you got it!!

Chi Permanent Hair Straightening System....?

Just wondering if any of you have tried it and if so what were your results. I'm not talking about just using a chi flat iron... but actually going into the salon and getting it professionly done.... i guess they say its supposed to last 4 - 6 months....

Just curious to learn more about it...

Chi Permanent Hair Straightening System....?

It is a god send for those with super surly hair. I just had it done for the second time this weekend. It lasts until the hair grows out. You can touch up ur roots when it starts to look funky.

just pricing

Are chi straighteners the best out there?

i have really REALLY thick hair...and i know chi straighteners are good but are they the best? or should i do another approach to get my hair less thick...i've already had it thinned and layered at the salon but it's still thick

Are chi straighteners the best out there?

I have REALLY thick hair too. I use it, and my hair looks FANTASIC! I highly reccomend it. Don't thin ur hair out anymore. You dont want to have too thin hair when it used to be very thick 閳?Julie

Are chi straighteners the best out there?

Yes i have a CHI and i love it beacuse i have really think hair too. good luck!

Are chi straighteners the best out there?

my sister recently bought a chi, but i have a true ceramic pro, the chi seems to make my hair look smoother and shinier. but the true ceramic pro, makes it much straighter. hope this helps.

Are chi straighteners the best out there?

Chi is the best only because they come with a comb attachment that flattens and straightens hair. Fhi irons are hotter.

Are chi straighteners the best out there?

i use a flat iron and i have thick hair it shows beauty use 1 of the flat irons and it will let your hair be cute and thick at the same time

Are chi straighteners the best out there?

well i have the same problem my hair is really thick and most straightners can't control it ....the ones i use are morphy richards they're reasonably good but the best ones i think that are out there are the GHD ....the are well known for there brilliant high tech performance they also make your hair thin and shiny they may be abit more expensive but they are definately what you may need

hope i could help! XXX

Are chi straighteners the best out there?

They are the best on the market.......I know 5 people who have them and love it. One thing I love is I have mine for three years know and the plate are like brand new...I highly recommend it.

My CHI original pulls my hair out everytime I use it now. Should I get a turbo???

It also takes a lot longer to straighten my hair now compared to when I first bought it, and it takes longer to get hot. I have used a Corioliss, which was made from SOLID ceramic plates (the CHI original is made of metal plated with ceramic, as stated in the instructions it comes with), but it wasn't as quick as the CHI. I am wondering if the CHI turbo will be better at not pulling out my hair (the Corioliss didn't pull it at all), or if there is another brand that would be better at that, with the same results or better than my original CHI when it was new. BTW, it is only about six months old (with daily use), so think about that before you go out and buy one! I had hoped to wait at least 2 yrs before buying another one, but just six months later it needs to be replaced (but only if I don't want to take at least 30 minutes for my very fine hair, not even mentioning the torture of my hair getting ripped out with each stroke!).

My CHI original pulls my hair out everytime I use it now. Should I get a turbo???

yeah, everyone told me that the CHI would be amazing and what not, so I bought it after all the hype I heard from it, and honestly I wasn't all that impressed and ran into the same problem (and mine was CHI Turbo, so I don't know what that says about the CHI in general)

My solution was Maxi Glide, found it works really well.

And then I got too lazy with straightening (it only took me about 15 mins to straighten with the Maxi Glide, and my hair is insanely thick and curly) so I decided to get it chemically straightening (the Japanese thermal treatment) and was the best thing I've ever done for my hair and my life! =)

It cost a ton of money ($400) but lasts for up to 8 months and now all I have to do is blow dry (with a Sephora T3 Evolution dryer--I highly recommend if you want your hair completely dry in minutes) and then I just leave it. No iron needed, and it's exposed to the heat of the tourmaline hair dryer for about 5 mins every other day. (compared to like...2 hours of drying and then 45 mins of flat ironing) SO worth it.

If I look back and think about what I spent on replacing flat irons....I used to have a few Conairs, then a Solano, then a Sedu, then a Helen of Troy, then a Hot Tools Cermaics, then a CHI turbo, and then a MaxiGlide....they cost way more than the treatment, and the time I save now with doing my hair for the next 8 months, and not have to spend money on a ton of hair products (don't even let me get started with the amount of money I've spent on random stuff) and my hair is silky, smooth, and so much healthier-- worth every dime of that $400

You should look into it!

My CHI original pulls my hair out everytime I use it now. Should I get a turbo???

Turbo is usually a term meaning "faster", and it might hurt you more.

My CHI original pulls my hair out everytime I use it now. Should I get a turbo???

well I use the chi too and it puls my hair out too. Mine is about 1year old and it basically sucks now. Its better than just reg. straightners from the supermarkets but it just dosent get as hott as normal. Im about to trade it in for a new one. Im going to get the turbo. But try not to straighten your hair everyday.Thats so bad for it and then you will have no hair!

My CHI original pulls my hair out everytime I use it now. Should I get a turbo???

my friend has a chi turbo.. and it pulled my hair out the first time i used it. i dont think it would make a difference.

My CHI original pulls my hair out everytime I use it now. Should I get a turbo???

I highly recommend the CHI Turbo. I have used many brands and when I used a friends turbo, I bought it immediately! The difference between ceramic coating and solid ceramic is smoother, straighter, and less fried hair. Worth every penny, I have had mine for almost 3 years and it is as good as new. Also if you are not already using it, try the CHI Silk Infusion...Amazing.

My CHI original pulls my hair out everytime I use it now. Should I get a turbo???

I switched from the CHI to the Solia I love the results. I found it on Folica.com

My CHI original pulls my hair out everytime I use it now. Should I get a turbo???

What's the warranty on those things? If it's a six month warranty, then I would expect it would wear out within 6 months of daily use. If it's a one-year warranty, I would contact the company or take it back to where you bought it and explain (assuming you no longer have the reciept). My hairstylist replaces her tools often - they're sadly not made to last for years.

Also check their website or google the exact model you have. There may be a recall. You never know, so many recalls from China these days and it's likely made there.

With fine hair especially, I would stop using it until you get the matter sorted out. It's not worth losing hair over it!!!

My stylist recommended a Hai to me - I love it, have had it a couple years (although I don't use it daily) and it works just as well as the day I bought it.

I wouldn't suggest replacing it with another of the same brand if the one you have wore out so quickly and you're having a bad experience with it. I would for sure switch to another brand entirely, not just an upgraded version of what you own now.

How to Straighten your Hair With a Flat Iron

http://homebeautytips.blogspot.com/2007/...

How do you curl ya hair with a chi striaghtner?

am sorry i dont have a chi starighner

How do you curl ya hair with a chi striaghtner?

first you take the chi like ur bout to straiten ya hair but you take it under instead down...and you do that untill ur happy wit how it look!!!! or you can do it the oppisite way....GOOD LUCK wit dat!!!!!!!!

How do you curl ya hair with a chi striaghtner?

It is a little difficult, you have to move the hair through the chi quickly as you are rolling/ turning the iron. If you go too slow or your iron is too hot you get crimp marks, and if your not keeping the rolling motion going it will just go straight. Revlon makes a great super hot curling iron for about 10-15 dollars that heats up very quick and has adjustable heat settings and you can get it anywhere... walgreens, walmart etc. WAAY Easier! good luck.

How do you curl ya hair with a chi striaghtner?

pretty much the same as a regular straightener. use a heat protectant and keep the straightener moving.

How do you curl ya hair with a chi striaghtner?

omg i do that every morning! just straighten it like regular and then when you get 1/2 way down then you start to curl it under or pull it outward and curl it. i love that thing! %26lt;3 lol

Bleaching dead hair!?

about a month ago i died my hair dark dark brown (almost black) but it is a dark brown now. (no where near black) anyways, is it too early to bleach my hair?

i use a chi straitener daily but i use all the chi iron protection for when i blowdry my hair and straiten it so its not totally fried but still...

what do you thinK? am i ready!?

Bleaching dead hair!?

You need to take it easy with the heat styling for a while and use some strengthening treaments on your hair.....and a Deep Condtioner once a week...and possibly a trim.

I recomend this Aphogee treatment as shown below. When you get the bottle read and follow the directions carefully before you buy it. Also use it once every 6 weeks. It it's the best

http://www.sallybeauty.com/shop/1215/670...

Take good care of your hair and wait another 4 to 6 weeks. To lighten it.

Bleaching dead hair!?

Yesss don't even bleach it for a while. If you hair is dead its dead. Theres no way to get rid of damaged hair. I don't know why you want to dye you rhair back so soon...

Bleaching dead hair!?

no...u definately shouldnt.....ur hair will just get much worse if u bleach it. I think you should make sure you use special moisture shampoo, conditioner, and weekly treatments and then maybe consider bleaching it in about 1 month or so......hope i helped and good luck :)

Bleaching dead hair!?

Or you could just get a haircolor removing product, instead of bleaching. Hair's dead to begin with, but you don't want to damage it anyway. Sally's has a product called "one'n only colorfix by jheri redding", that doesn't contain ammonia, bleach, or formaldehyde, and it's non damaging. i've used it and it works pretty well. and you can use it no matter how long it's been since you dyed your hair. if that doesn't interest you, then you're okay to bleach it. but use a warm dryer to help speed up the process, otherwise it's gonna take forever for that dye to come out.

How do I style my hair with the CHI straightener (so that it is not so flat-I want a little volume)?

I have curly hair and I use the Ultra CHI (Tourmaline ceramic iron). I have no problem straightening my hair, but because it gets so long, I don't always like how flat it is (not straight, but flat...I like the straightness), and I do not want to cut it any because then when I wear it curly it will be too short. Any tips for doing something to add volume and/or flipping it, etc. (especially around my face)? I am set with the products I use, I am just looking for techniques. Thanks for any help!

How do I style my hair with the CHI straightener (so that it is not so flat-I want a little volume)?

This is the way the pros do it:

1) Blow dry your hair lifting from the roots to obtain the volume you want.

2) If you use a silkening product, only put it on the ends. DO NOT start at your scalp when straigtening, start around the ear if you have long hair. The weight of your hair will pull the area near the scalp straight.

3) Use the edge of the striaghtener like a curling iron. Around the face, take hair from behind the ear and pull it in the direction of your nose. Flatten in the direction of the hair and when the hair gets to the end of the iron, turn your wrist in towards your face to "bend" the hair. To flip back, do the opposite and pull the hair from behind your ear to the back of your head and turn the wrist out.

4) Use a rattail comb AFTER straightening to tease the hair in the areas that need volume, and use hairspray in that area only.

It takes a lot longer if you don't blow-dry it first. You can do the same procedure on slightly damp hair, but it tends to go frizzy. Report It

someone asked a similar question a few days ago. i have never heard of the product? do you work for that company?

How do I style my hair with the CHI straightener (so that it is not so flat-I want a little volume)?

Get thicker hair? I have hair that is naturally straight. I lays close to my head. The only way I can get it to have volume is by fluffing it, which means it's not totally straight. And I like curly hair. I know, we could trade hair.

How do I style my hair with the CHI straightener (so that it is not so flat-I want a little volume)?

Another name for straightening iron is indeed flat iron. Generally, you can't get volume with a flattening iron unless you naturally have thick hair that has volume. Try lifting at the roots. Place a can of hairspray or just something round under a section of hair up at your roots and spritz with hairspray. Hold it for a moment. It'll create a lifting illusion and make your hair appear to be fuller. Also try flipping your head upside down and spraying with a bit of hairspray underneath. Let it dry, then flip your head back up and style.

How do I style my hair with the CHI straightener (so that it is not so flat-I want a little volume)?

well i have a chi straighner and i love it well what i do is i straighn my hair than i get some volumizing moose and spred it through my hair i also use volumizing shampoo it comes in a bright yellow bottle but i am not exactly sure what the name is so then my hair is straight but it is also volumized.

How do I style my hair with the CHI straightener (so that it is not so flat-I want a little volume)?

start at the root of your hair and when you start to go down, at the roof just give it a tiny lift and then slowly bring it down. for bangs do the same but give it a tiny more lift. also, before you straighten VO5 has some great stuff to put on your hair before you straighten and they have a product that gives volume.

How do I style my hair with the CHI straightener (so that it is not so flat-I want a little volume)?

my hairdresser uses this same straightner on my hair, (which is also naturally curly) before she uses that she sprays my hair with this volumizer by matrix, amplifier root lifter 3...it has a long tip to get near the root of your hair and gives it lots of volume, she sells it at the salon shes at, JC PENNEYs or any other salon would sell this stuff

How do I style my hair with the CHI straightener (so that it is not so flat-I want a little volume)?

never heard of a chi?!?! what?!?! u must not be a girl!! lol

but, knowing your hair type would help... but i would suggest using a light setting lotion (it's like water, either purple or blue). the bottle'll probably say dillute w/water, but i dont and wouldnt advise you to. anyway, when you're at your roots, put the chi right at your head and pull your hair up towards the sky. only straighten about 2-3 inches- it's going to look funny at first, but once u've gotten your whole crown done, use a big toothed comb to comb your hair out and you'll have instant volume

I get split ends from my chi straightener?

well i have VERY FRIZZY wavyish/ curlyish hair is so ugly and wild

i have to straighten my hair everyday for school because if not i look like a lion. I have been using a chi straightener for about 3 years

and i have so many split end its so gross

i pick them and they keep comming back

in summer its really humid so i cant do anything with my hair

i use the chi serum that was like 50 bucks its not really working i cant find anything else that works. my hair is oily

and it looks greasy if i put any thing else in it

i was wondering if there are any straighteners out there that dont give you split ends AND WORK?

I get split ends from my chi straightener?

You're not supposed to pick split ends. That's causing even more damage to your hair. You need to get your hair trimmed every 6 weeks. Also, use some sort of heat protection on your hair daily. All heat products will give split ends if used too much.

I get split ends from my chi straightener?

Just turn down the heat setting.

I get split ends from my chi straightener?

Ditch the chi's and by GHD straighteners ! I got mine aroud a month ago and before it took ages to straighten my hair and it always went a bit frizzy and now it hardly takes any time at all and it always stays perfect, with no split ends, GHD's are a bit expensive but soooooo worth it !

I get split ends from my chi straightener?

Try the Chi 44 Iron Guard....the serum is for thicker/coarser/dryer hair. Whoever sold that to you was misinformed. As for the split ends, get a hair cut.

I get split ends from my chi straightener?

my hair is the eact same and i have spent forever trying all this stuff out and this is the best

-first use matrix biolage smooth therapie i no it is pricie but it is the best stuff ever and i love it sometimes they have a sale at utla and i buy like 10 bottles of the shampoo and conditioner

-then put in bed head after party again pricie but it works wonders and it last for ever cuz you use so little with out it making your hair greasy

-tresemme heat tamer protective spray use it always before heat

-then straighten i have a solia one inch it was 99 bucks and works so much better than a chi cuz i tried my friends it sucked

-finally to keep it like that during the summer spray in some tres two by tresemme and comb it through it will stay all day long

btw DONT PICK YOU DEAD ENDS it maked them deader and thats not a word but you get my point just get a hair cut

I get split ends from my chi straightener?

Heat styling products cause split ends. All you can do is take better care of your hair. You need to get your hair trimmed EVERY 6 weeks. You need to deep condition. Before using the flat iron, try blowing your hair out first, this way you aren't frying your hair as much. Also, wrap your hair up at night and cover with a stocking cap. This will keep your hair straight and prevent breakage while you sleep. And you won't need to iron your hair in the morning, since it will be straight. Try to only iron your hair when you wash it (only wash twice a week if you can manage).

I get split ends from my chi straightener?

john frieda hair serum in the orange bottle for heat tools. i have a CHI too , and ive used it for 2 yrs and my hair is ALL split ends, because like you, i straighten it 6 times a week, every week . i cut my split ends off myself, but you should probably get a trim. theres no way your not going to have NO split ends , because your killing your hair, so your going to have some. use a hair masque every week. (deep conditioner)

What is the best hair hair straightener? Is Chi or Sedu better?

I can get a good shightener for chistnas this year and i heard good things about Chi and Sedu but which one is better? I have curly hair and its not to thick

What is the best hair hair straightener? Is Chi or Sedu better?

Me and my sister both bought a couple CHIs a while ago but both of them broke after only 5 months. They just wouldn't turn on. So we got a couple more. Mine broke after 3 months and my sisters' broke after 4 months. Then we both got sedus and they make our hair much shinier, and they dont break easily!

What is the best hair hair straightener? Is Chi or Sedu better?

i don't know what shightener or chistnas is but i prefer the chi. i have very thick, wavy hair and the chi gets my hair stick straight.

I have a chi and I love it. However, I have a 2" and wish I got the 1" because I can't do cute flips with it.

What is the best hair hair straightener? Is Chi or Sedu better?

Definately get the chi!! I had a sedu and it broke after like 2 weeks!! I was so mad and then when i went to take it back to the store they said they wouldnt take it back cuz theres only a 7 day return policy!! It was a total waste and plus my hair got really frizzy whenever id used it!! I have a chi now and i love it it is sooo good on my hair and i have like almost the same as u, curly but not that thick!

good luck in finding one!!

What is the best hair hair straightener? Is Chi or Sedu better?

Chi is definetly better! also Paul Mitchells are really good! i have hair kinda like yours but its really thick and my 2 inch chi works really good! the 1 inch is good too i think you should get that for your hair type.

GET A CHI!! good luckk :]

What is the best hair hair straightener? Is Chi or Sedu better?

I'm not one who uses straighteners or flat irons...normally,I just do the natural process of washing my hair, blow drying it,and combing it while I blow dry.You can try this routine out and see if it works for you.Ha,to be honest,I've never heard of the two straighteners Chi and Sedu.If you prefer a straightener instead of how I do it,then look for brands in retailers and stores. Before you buy the product, ask about its quality and the warranty of it.This will probably give you an idea of how well it operates.

What is the best hair hair straightener? Is Chi or Sedu better?

Sedu is way better for strait hair ; but Chi is good for curly hair. I hope that you find the perfect thing! 鈾櫔 Have a Great Season! 鈾櫕

What is the best hair hair straightener? Is Chi or Sedu better?

sedu

What is the best hair hair straightener? Is Chi or Sedu better?

Sammie,

I have a Sedu and its great on my hair (which is a bit coarse and straight already). My niece has a CHI and she simply loves it too.

I went with the Sedu because you can control the temperature setting. This was my first one and I was worried about heat damage. I liked that I could try the lowest setting and see how that works before committing to a higher temperature setting. After a few practices I now have the exact perfect temp for my hair type.

With the CHI you can get the older Original model for less than the Sedu but it does not have this temperature control. You can get the temp control in the newer CHI turbo models but they are generally more expensive than the Sedu.

So, for me, I chose Sedu because I got what I wanted for a better price. If 'Santa' has deep pockets, then go for a new CHI Turbo. If 'Santa' has a budget, go for a Sedu.

Btw, normally the length of your hair is used to determine how wide the plates are. If you have really long hair, then go for the wider models. If you have short to normal length hair, then gat the 1" models. If you really want to do funky curls and stuff, there are 0.7" and 0.5" models but they are not as popular.

How to curl my hair with a CHI straightener?

I have a chi, and it says that you can curl it with the straightener. I've tried to wrap my hair around it, but it just makes like a dent in my hair. Can anyone help??

How to curl my hair with a CHI straightener?

It's kind of hard to explain but you have to start near a couple of inches away from your root and twist the chi iron around. It's kind of in the wriste. It's takes a little practice but the curls come out beautiful. You just keep twisting it until you get to the end. Take small sections too. I hoped that helped a little. I don't know howesle to explain on here.

Does the chi flatirons work good and do they take your hair out.?

yes they work fin and they dont take out my hair

Does the chi flatirons work good and do they take your hair out.?

I was always too cheap to buy a CHI straightner.. so within a year I spent a crap load of money on cheap ones. I finally decided it'd make more sense to spend the extra money on something that will last. I've had my CHI for over a year, I LOVE IT! I have super curly hair and this straighter is a GOD! honest, it's a very good straightner. You should definatly invest in one.

Does the chi flatirons work good and do they take your hair out.?

My friends swear by their chi irons. They can cut the amount of time to straighten your hair in half. Anytime you use heat on your hair, make sure you use protective hair products, but no, using them should not make your hair fall out. If it's a concern, talk to your stylist about some products that will help protect your hair from the heat.

I have *thin* hair will the CHI(original)flat iron burn/damage my hair?

ive heard that if you have thin hair, using a chi can break your hair and cause severe damage.

I have *thin* hair will the CHI(original)flat iron burn/damage my hair?

I have thin hair %26amp; use a CHI straightening iron. No burn or damage has been done yet. I don't use it daily, though. If you're really worried, go to a salon %26amp; ask what products they have to protect your hair while using a hot iron. I know they make some.

I have *thin* hair will the CHI(original)flat iron burn/damage my hair?

not if u put it on a low setting. if there are no settings, i would recommend getting one with settings. or dont keep the iron on your hair for long amounts of time

I have *thin* hair will the CHI(original)flat iron burn/damage my hair?

use hair solution because you straighten it to protect it from the heat

I have *thin* hair will the CHI(original)flat iron burn/damage my hair?

no i have thin hair it didnt damage my hair

I have *thin* hair will the CHI(original)flat iron burn/damage my hair?

it shouldn't damage your hair if you watch what your doin..like don't slide the flat iron really slowly down your hair and use a protector spray or cream before you straighten your hair.

SEDU or CHI?!?

i want to get a hair straightener but before i buy one, i want to investigate. soo im going to ask you guys some questions! first off, my hair is just a little below my sholders, its wavy and i wouldn't say my hair is thick, but its not thin, either.

so which hair straightener is better, chi or sedu?

whats the difference? which one is more expensive? do they burn hair easily? which type do you recomend? if you have/had either one, did you like it?

thank you for your time. *best answer will be chosen*

SEDU or CHI?!?

Sedu. I have curly hair and had been using a cheap flat iron. It was giving me hair breakage and drying my hair out. I bought the Sedu hair straightener a few months ago. It is easy to use, leaves my hair shiny and "dead straight" within 5 minutes of use (after blow drying).

SEDU or CHI?!?

those ones suck and i have curly hair! i use the ION that has many many temp settings! and i freakn love it!!!!! and it was like $40 with a life time warrenty!

SEDU or CHI?!?

I highly suggest the CHI!

SEDU or CHI?!?

Chi works well when it works. There have been a lot of issues with it lately, the most recent being a recall on them. I have no experience with the SEDU but Metropolis and the Bio ionic are amazing! I would forget about the CHI until they fix there flubs

SEDU or CHI?!?

chi for sure.

SEDU or CHI?!?

This Chi is a great straightner.

Flat iron/hair straightner? The Chi?

For any girls who straighten their hair with the Chi straighner, which one do you think is better? The skinny one or the larger one? I have a one inch one that i had for three years but up until yesterday it broke. I was just wondering if the plate is bigger is it easier to straighten your hair??? My hair is past my shoulders.... what do you think?

I don't have a Chi but I do find that straightening my hair is much better with a larger-plated flat iron.

heyy there dahhlinggg..

i find that using a thinner straightener helps when straightening alot of layers..but a thicker one gets the job done quicker..

CHI flat iron-please help!?

I have a 1inch Chi Flat iron/straightener. I have pretty think, crazy-curly-wavy hair which I hate. So I straighten my hair everyday with my chi. I want to learn how to create big, soft waves, and spiral curls with the Chi. I know it is a straightener, but I have seen how it can curl/wave hair also. Please tell me how to wave and curl my hair- Thanks, xoxo

CHI flat iron-please help!?

I use the CHI on all my clients, and when I do updo's on prom days I ALWAYS use my CHI to curl.

Just take the CHI and turn it while you're going down the hair shaft, kind of in a circle, like you would a curling iron. It takes a little practice but once you get the hang of it, you'll love it and the curls stay better than when you use a curling iron.

CHI flat iron-please help!?

instead of letting it fully warm up. use it when it isnt that hot. also dont clamp hard on the chi when creating curls/waves or else you will only get a straight angle curve.

CHI flat iron-please help!?

Whati do with my CHI is i take it and make kind of curves with the iron while going down with it about medium hot and it usually works with my hair. my hair is soooooooooo thick curly and wild. i have to use it every day. ttyl.bye.
