CHI Silk Infusion? Do you apply this everytime your going to straighten your hair?

My favorite product!!!! It smells so good right! haha.

Yes. Put a little in (pending on how much hair you have) before you blow dry. I don't know if you flat iron or not but ALWAYS put some in before hand. And you can use a touch after it's straight to tame frizz. GOOD LUCK ;)

CHI Silk Infusion? Do you apply this everytime your going to straighten your hair?

yes

CHI Silk Infusion? Do you apply this everytime your going to straighten your hair?

Yes, you do apply this every time you are going to straighten your hair. The reason you do apply it in your hair every time you are going to straighten your hair because it helps to protect your hair from the heat of the straightener.

CHI Silk Infusion? Do you apply this everytime your going to straighten your hair?

yes i do.

I want to buy a chi hair straightner.. a broken one? Anyone has one they'd like to sell?

I have one.

Not totally broken though. If you hold the cord the right way it works for a few minutes.

I want to buy a chi hair straightner.. a broken one? Anyone has one they'd like to sell?

If you are a new zealander definately go to trademe.co.nz

I want to buy a chi hair straightner.. a broken one? Anyone has one they'd like to sell?

why would you buy a broken one?

go on ebay if you're being that cheap, lol..

or better yet, BUY THE REAL UNBROKEN THING =)

I want to buy a chi hair straightner.. a broken one? Anyone has one they'd like to sell?

I don't have one myself but I use T3. It has infused tourmoline which sets 400% more negitive ions than any other straightener which makes for better shine and is less damaging to the hair. They also have a wet to dry and you can straighten your hair when it's wet! My favorite is the meduim duality where you can even curl your hair. Sephora stores sell them but like the chi, they're not cheap.

Any hair straightening techiniques/tips?

I just got a new professional hair straightener, (Elited Chi), and I was wondering if anyone knew any tips or techniques on how to make it straight, give it more flare, or give it more volume, like Lola or Zoey on Zoey101.

My most fave hair pic (decent):

Thanks!

Does anyone know how to do this, or any other techniques or tips on how to make it straighter?

section your hair.

put up all your hair on the top and leave some at the bottom, straighten that, let down some more hair, straighten that, and so on. also you can get any kind of mousse or volumizing spray. that will help make your hair bigger. :)

Tips For Straightening Hair

Consider one of three new approaches to straightening your hair.

Curly.... Straight.... Long.... Short?

If you have curly or wavy hair, you鈥檝e no doubt tried any number of methods to straighten it鈥攆rom heavy-duty blow-drying sessions to pressing your locks on Mom鈥檚 ironing board. (Remember how much those cheek burns hurt?)

Thanks to technological advances over the last few years, help is finally here. Three new approaches are definitely worth considering, depending on the time and money you want to invest.

As with any major change, be sure to discuss all of your options with your hairstylist, who can provide individualized attention and advice based on your hair type and condition.

Isn鈥檛 It Iron-ic?

There鈥檚 a whole new breed of flat irons on the market today鈥攕pecialized straightening irons with flat ceramic plates. Most of the better models have adjustable temperature settings that reach up to 400掳F.

Not only will these new irons make your hair as straight as the proverbial stick, but they will also add shine and eliminate frizz.

Best of all, these handheld, ergonomically designed irons can be easily used at home, with only a short learning curve and relative speed. The only real disadvantage? You have to repeat the ironing process each time you shampoo.

Top manufacturers include Conair, Wigo, Salono and Chi, with models that cost between $40 and $225. Read product features carefully to select the iron that best meets your needs, and consider your purchase an investment.

Just Relax!

The second approach to consider is use of a relaxing agent鈥攁 chemical straightening process that African-American women have been utilizing for decades, which changes the basic structure of the hair follicle.

There are different relaxer strengths: mild, regular and strong. One of the best ways to determine the strength best suited for your hair is a strand test. This may involve simply pulling on a hair strand to determine its elasticity, or putting a small amount of relaxer on the strand to gauge its reaction. If, for example, your hair is fine and only moderately elastic, you will probably want to use a mild relaxer.

Experts agree that a licensed, experienced stylist should perform chemical relaxing services in the salon. A qualified professional will know which products to use for your hair type, how to protect the integrity of your hair and how to prevent chemical burns. The process, which usually takes a few hours, generally costs between $200 and $400.

It Can鈥檛 Get Much Straighter Than This鈥?br> Japanese thermal reconditioning is the newest trend in hair straightening, receiving a tremendous buzz in salons and the media.

This, too, is a chemical process, and the most widely known seems to be the Yuko System. Developed in Japan, it enjoys great success among Caucasian women, but many African-American clients find it to be too severe for their more delicate hair.

Performed in the salon, thermal reconditioning requires the stylist to apply a chemical treatment to the hair, followed by ironing each strand. The process, which yields truly amazing results, may take several hours to complete and costs anywhere from $800 to $1,500.

With thermal reconditioning, your hair remains straight regardless of weather conditions. Other than cost, the only downside is that new hair growth will appear curly (or your natural texture). Treatments must be repeated for regrowth.

Before paying a stylist for any thermal reconditioning treatment, make sure she is experienced in the process. There have been some reports of hair damage, usually involving stylists who have received insufficient training or are new to the procedure.

Any hair straightening techiniques/tips?

ohmygod,

my hair is super thick %26amp; curly. it takes me about 30 minutes to do it in the morning %26amp; make it perfectly straight %26amp; soft.

after you get out of the shower put straightening gel on it and then straighten your hair by putting it half up %26amp; half down.

to get it even better make more sections or layers of it. time is beauty

Any hair straightening techiniques/tips?

To have your hair super straight, I run a fine brush thru my hair while straghtening at the same time. After your finished use a little Bed Head after party and a little hair spray and you should be all straight :)

Any hair straightening techiniques/tips?

Alot of it is in the cut, to add texture. Also buy texturizer %26amp; pomade. In the back you can rat it to add volume when you stratin with the iron do small portions of hair at a time. pull the iron %26amp; hair in toward you. Good Luck!

Any hair straightening techiniques/tips?

Before you straigten your hair, put some kind of oil or biosilk on your ends and a little on the roots and you'll see a diffrence.

Any hair straightening techiniques/tips?

If you have thick hair, ( like mine ) then you can pull up some of your hair and leave some down. then you straigten your hair

and you keep on dropping it so you get all of your hair.

Any hair straightening techiniques/tips?

make SURE you buy a heat-protectant spray for your hair. it makes it shinier [usually] and protects your hair from major damage.

Any hair straightening techiniques/tips?

you take the flat iron and a piece of hair then you from the roots down flatten it this will help your hair stay flatter longer

Help with dry hair please?

My hair is beginning to get very, very dry and so I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for me. I wash, blow dry, and straighten my hair every morning. I use Suave shampoo and conditioner and after I blow dry my hair I use Chi Silk Infusion serum. It doesn't seem to be helping all that much. If you have any suggestions then that would be great! Thanks :]

Help with dry hair please?

stop all that blow drying and straightening. THAT is what is drying out your hair

after washing your hair NO MORE THAN TWICE A WEEK rinse your hair and apply a litle almond oil

Help with dry hair please?

try using pantene daily moisture renewal shampoo and conditioner and the tresemme heat tamer protective spray and your hair won't be as dry

Help with dry hair please?

Do an oil treatment

Natural ingredients

Olive oil

Avacado

carrot oil

egg yolk

Steam you hair with a shower cap for about 45mins every week for a month you should see and feel improvement after the fisrt treatment

Help with dry hair please?

I advise try other conditioners or infusion serums from differnet products and see which work best for your hair!

Help with dry hair please?

Stop blowdrying your hair and use deep conditioning treatments. Trim your split ends. Do hot oil treatments. Stop treating your hair like crap.

Help with dry hair please?

suave products are ok for a once in awhile type thing but either panteen or tresemee deep conditioning shampoo and conditioner and about once in a while like once a month and this sounds gross but it really really works mix mayo and any beer (1cup mayo 1can of beer) and put this combo on yer dry hair until it is completely saturated and get a shower cap put it over your hair so the heat from yer head will stay in there and let this stay in for about 30mins and rinse and the put just conditioner on and rinse that out and let your hair dry naturaly hope i could help

Help with dry hair please?

Dry hair tends to be thin and rough so try washing less often .To prevent your hair from becoming dry and brittle, avoid using hot curling irons, bleaching and perming .Check out http://solutionsfordryhair.blogspot.com/ for more info.

Help with dry hair please?

heat causes your hair to dry out and so does washing it every day. natural oils are the best thing for your hair. i wash it every other day, and use a shower cap on the off days.

if you wash it every other day, then you only end up straightening it every other day which eliminated damaging heat. before you straighten you must use a protective cream over your hair to protect it from the heat. also, letting it air dry eliminates heat.

a high-end conditioner like pureology (the one in the purple bottle. i swear by it for my over-processed dry hair) is essential. it may be expensive but it's the best conditioner i have ever found.

I want to buy a chi hair straightener, but I'm not sure it's worth the money, Can anyone h

DEFINITELY worth the money! It is the best straightener! It not only straightens but makes hair soft and silky with no frizz or fly-aways. I recommend them every chance I get.

I want to buy a chi hair straightener, but I'm not sure it's worth the money, Can anyone help?

I use to work in a salon and every stylist commented how wonderful they were. I know they are pricey. I bought a Rusk brand and it's made of porcelain/ceramic which is good if you color your hair. It won't strip the color. I think it's comparable to chi if you don't want to spend that much money. Don't forget to use hair straightener products so it won't dry out your hair.

I want to buy a chi hair straightener, but I'm not sure it's worth the money, Can anyone help?

whats a chi hair straightener but i think u should buy it if ure telling me something about then honey buy the straightner i whould of so bought it go girl

I want to buy a chi hair straightener, but I'm not sure it's worth the money, Can anyone help?

I DON'T THINK THAT IT IS WORTH AS MUCH AS THEY CHARGE THERE ARE SOME THINGS THAT ARE COMPARABLE TO A CHI.

TOOL SCIENCE MAKES A GOOD ONE

ION

JILBERE TURMOLENE

HELEN OF TROY JEWEL TOOLS

BELIEVE ME I HAVE TRIED ALL THE IRONS OUT THERE ALMOST THESE ARE THE BEST. JEWEL TOOLS AND ION ARE THE TOP TWO.

I want to buy a chi hair straightener, but I'm not sure it's worth the money, Can anyone help?

I read the original black Chi is not as good as the turbo Chi and the original Chi don't have a temperature dial and I don't know about the turbo Chi. Babyliss and Conair are good to me and they have a dial or digital to adjust the heat. But get what you like.

I want to buy a chi hair straightener, but I'm not sure it's worth the money, Can anyone help?

You can buy them below wholesale on ebay. Here's the direct link

Better than a CHI?

All the girl's out there... tell me what is better than a CHI from your experience!! I know that the CHI works great (because I've used one), the only thing is that it's not solid plated ceramic. I want something that is even healthier and more effective for my hair than a CHI (if that is possible... tell me what it is!!). I am gonna get a good straightener for my birthday (of my choice) and I want the best of the best, so please offer your advice!!! please %26amp; thank you

Better than a CHI?

Alright,

I've used both.

and I can tell you

with a Sedu, it leaves my hair shiny, silky, straight, and doesnt pull it at all.

(:

it's better than a chi.

Better than a CHI?

Better than a CHI?

I always used the chi irons then I finally got a ghd... GREAT GREAT GREAT!!!! If you don't mind spending the money then get this one

I want curly hair. Like Miley Cyrus's!?

hwo can i get curly hair like miley cyrus. i like how it is long and curly. if the answer is a curling iron, where can i get a cheap one that doesnt fry your hair....like a chi is good...... also what is the "measurement" i went shopping online for a chi iron and it was all like 1/4 of an inch, 1/2 of an inch, which one would be long and curly? once again like miley cyrus's

I want curly hair. Like Miley Cyrus's!?

Shampoo and condition your hair very well and brush with your wide toothed comb and/or brush. Make sure there are no knots!

Apply a small amount of conditioner and anti-frizz serum (anti-frizz serum is optional). Rub the products in very well until you can't see them in your hair anymore.

If your hair is naturally wavy let it air dry or blow dry your hair with a comb using anti-frizz serum.

Turn on the curling iron or curling irons that you plan to use.*

While the curling irons are warming up, separate your hair into three sections by pulling two sections to each side of your face leaving the third section to be the back.

Clip up two of the sections, leaving one down. Curl the first section, starting toward the back of your head and working your way to the front. When you put your hair in the curling iron it should look like a spring that is coiled around the curling iron. If you have two different sizes of curling irons use the larger one to curl the bottom layer of your hair and the smaller one to curl the top.

Spray that section with your hairspray and gently clip it away from the rest.

When you finish all of the sections, take out any clips or scrunchies you have holding the section and spray your hair all over with hairspray one more time.

Tips:

* Make sure you tussle your hair throughout the day to give it more body with a relaxed look to it yet it looks bouncy.

* don't make the curling iron go all the way up to your head or it will look too curly

* Use maximum hold hair spray to keep your style in all day.

I want curly hair. Like Miley Cyrus's!?

its not so much as a curling iron.wash your hair at night and braid it when it's wet. and when you wake up. your good to goo.

:)

I want curly hair. Like Miley Cyrus's!?

alright good for you

I want curly hair. Like Miley Cyrus's!?

you can get one at the dollar tree but you could also use curlers and that would make it look even better. and you can get those at the dollar tree and at walmart for real cheap but you gotta leave em in over night and that'll look awesome. hope it helped.

I want curly hair. Like Miley Cyrus's!?

HOw to curl hair with a curling iron (with video)

how to do curls in a straight hair

http://homebeautytips.blogspot.com/2007/...

I want curly hair. Like Miley Cyrus's!?

her hair is straight and in the bottom curly

I want curly hair. Like Miley Cyrus's!?

try using a inch or inch and a half curing iron. or if you have a flat iron you can use that to spiral curl your hair, i always use my flat iron to curl my it gives dimension to the curls and looks more natural. also use a thermal setting spray to set and protect your hair from the heat.. try thermal active spary by biolage or spritz n shine by catwalk they both work awesome.

I want curly hair. Like Miley Cyrus's!?

Well first of all if you don't have at least naturally wavy hair, you can't get your hair like Miley's. But if you have naturally wavy/curly hair then you can use Garnier Moose. I use that and it works great! People ask where i get my hair done!

What Happened to My Hair?

When I was much younger I had very straight blondish hair; now it's brown and curly.

Sometimes I say to myself, "I wish I was born with straight hair. oh wait, I was."

What happened?

MAIN QUESTION:

Is there anyway I can get my straight hair back, naturally?

NOTE WELL:

* I already straighten my hair with a chi, and I'm not too proud of that.

* I'm hesitant to chemical straightening because I heard it can make your hair thin.

What Happened to My Hair?

No dude. there is nothing you can really do...but actually depending on how strong the bonds of your hair are you might be able to relax it by straightening it everyday. I straightened my hair for about 3 years and eventually it lost its wave and yeah...it's not completely straight but way more than before.

But as for the chemical relaxer...if its not done right it can actually be worse than bleaching it.

Good luck.

What Happened to My Hair?

i dont think there is anything else you can do.

go to the salon and get a straighter put on it is the only thing i cant think of.

and after that you'll most likely have to still straighten it with a straightener at home.

sorry.

hope itll work out.

Where can I buy the Chi hair straightener in MA?

Where can I buy the Chi hair straightener in MA?

Where can I buy the Chi hair straightener in MA?

You can get them at JC Pennys, Ulta, or Sephora. I own one they are great! The best Flat Iron I've ever bought, they are a little pricey but well worth it. You wont be replacing it like the cheapo ones from target/walmart/local drug store.

Will the CHI(ORIGINAL) flat iron damage thin hair?

the chi has no heat settings so im afraid it will damage thin hair and cause it to burn too badly.

will this happen?

has anyone used the paul mitchell straightener?

Will the CHI(ORIGINAL) flat iron damage thin hair?

any flat iron will damage hair after repeated use. the max. temp reached by the chi should be stated somewhere on the box. i have an ion straightener that reaches over 400deg. I always find that although this straightens hair REALLY fast, a lower temp will work just as well with a bit more time and patience. I'd say a little above or below 350deg would be good. my advice would be to always use a protective heat spray on your hair before every use to help eliminate possible damage. i have RUSK THERMAL STR8 and it works awesome! happy straightening!!

Where do i find a Chi hair iron??

I went to sallys, and a lot of salons around where i live and i haven't found any! Im going to pa today, the king of prussia and i was just wondering if anyone knew if there might be one there?

Where do i find a Chi hair iron??

I have seen them where I live at Target.

Where do i find a Chi hair iron??

E BAY has it all.

Where do i find a Chi hair iron??

the only place i've seen them is in a mall kiosk but i'm sure you could find them on the internet too!

Where do i find a Chi hair iron??

If your local mall has a jcpenney salon, they sell them. Or, try Sally Beauty Supply, or another trade store like that. If you know someone in the hair business, they will probably have a membership to a store like that and they also get a better price than market value. I LOVE MY CHI!!!

Where do i find a Chi hair iron??

Go to one of those salons where those really pompus type women go-it's where I got mine!

What's the best hair straightener?

my hair is curly/wavy and nothing seems to keep it straight. i really like having straight hair, but it never stays because my straightener sucks. i currently have a curlmaster ceramics straightener. and have had chis before [they don't work on my hair.] so besides chi, what is the best hair straightener?

What's the best hair straightener?

nothing the the world is better than GHD. the best investment any woman could make. they straighten, curl, flick, zig zag, and they actually protect the hair whilst straightening.

What's the best hair straightener?

AYE WHEN U G3T AN ANSWER AN IT WORK TEL M33 LOL CAUSE I NEED SOM3 SO L0L.....

What's the best hair straightener?

GHD are good hair straightners too. It should stay in all day, may be the air was damp or you got it wet. Try spraying on some firm hold spray after you've straightened it - that should work. But anyway, curls are so 2007.

xx

What's the best hair straightener?

ghd

babyliss

braun

chi

What's the best hair straightener?

I閳ユ獡 talking about straight hair and the easiest way to get this new look is with a hair straightener. You Need To Know Before Buying

What's the best hair straightener?

my hair is like yours and Ive foud Sedu the best Ive also used the GHD but I think Sedu is better

What's the best hair straightener?

GHD. I have tried babyliss, treseme, remigton and futura straightners but nothing beats my GHD. I have had them for a year now and couldnt live without them. They are defenatly worth the money and last longer than the cheaper straightners. They will also straighten any hair type.

What's the best hair straightener?

ISO/Corioliss

What's the best hair straightener?

GHDs (Good Hair Day) are brilliant - it even says it in the name! They may be expensive, but they're definitely worth it - they're used and recognised by many professional hairdressers. They go up to quite a high temperature and straighten well, but it's always useful to have a good hair-protecting spray to keep your hair healthy - the high heat from the straightners can damage your hair. Toni%26amp;Guy do soke good ones.

Don't ever get cheap, own-brand hair straightners. I got some recently when I went on a short trip and they were not nearly as good as proper hair straightners. I should know - my hair is very curly and quite frizzy naturally!

Good luck finding some!

Blahh! Hair Help! =/?

So, every morning before school, I straighten my hair with a Chi Straightener. But, when I'm like 5 minutes into straightening my hair, it gets very staticy, and it's very annoying.

Does it have to do with my:

hair type: blonde, almost naturally straight, in between thick and thin hair

shampoo: Herbal Essences shampoo + conditioner

the way i wash it: before bed every night

the way i dry it: air dry

I really don't know what to do...

Any suggestions such as:

- different shampoo

- hair products

Thank you SO much! (:

Blahh! Hair Help! =/?

It might just be the way your hair is... or the way the straighteners are on the plates ask a relative if you can borrow their straighteners one time and just see because differant straighteners make hair like that.

its not anything else shampoo....how u dry it etc i do the same and my hairs fine =]

hope i helped

CHI question!?

i have curly ahir and i like to straighten it too so if i use gel on it oneday and straightenit the next day will the gel on my curly hair damage my chi straightener???

its a simply straight creme or gel type of stuff by amrc anthony will that damage my chi if i use it on my hair first??

CHI question!?

It might do a little damage but not too much but i think it's fine unless you start noticing things going weird with your Chi . But it is best to put on gel after wards.

hope i helped (:

xooxxooxoXOoxoxOXo 閳?br>CHI question!?

Do NOT get CHI. my family went thru 5 CHI in 3 yrs. Chi breaks within a few months and you have to pay $35 plus shipping to get it fixed.

U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission just announced a recall of Chi flat irons due to fire and burn hazards:

CHI sucks!

How do you use a Chi and what products do you use? thank you!?

I just got a Chi for my birthday and I love it! (the 2-inch turbo off of Folica.com)...anyways I was wondering whether or not anyone had tips on how to straighten your hair with a Chi and what products should be used??? What I dread is dried out, damaged, burned hair. I have tried to keep the temperature around 200 and not on the highest temperature (356 degrees). Thank you for all of your help!! I really appreciate it!

-my straightner makes my hair look great. I love it. I just don't want to damage it, so I am looking for the right products to buy, and also the correct way to straighten hair. Thank you!! :):)

How do you use a Chi and what products do you use? thank you!?

First of all, congrats on getting a great flat iron, if not the best! It's important to use a good, ceramic flat iron, as cheap ones will only damage your hair.

As a general rule, don't hold the flat iron over any one part of your hair for a long time, slide it down each section quickly, but slow enough to straighten it... If that makes any sense.

As far as products to use, Chi itself has a great line from shampoos and conditioners (great for giving moisture) to leave in conditioners and protectants... I like the flat iron spray, it works really good. The silk infusion is great for afterwards, to tame any stray pieces of frizz and add shine....

Happy ironing!

How do you use a Chi and what products do you use? thank you!?

if u go to sallys beauty supply there are many hair smoothers and hair defrizzers special for straightened hair that wont damage it good luck

How do you use a Chi and what products do you use? thank you!?

Products:

CHI liquid- this is pretty much all you need. It makes your hair feel really soft and silky. Don't buy the enormous bottle- just get a trial size. A little goes a long way!

How to straighten:

Do- straighten your hair when it is dry, and make sure to not "overdo it" when you straighten your hair. I once hurt my finger because a piece of my hair was burning hot!

Don't- straighten your hair when it is damp.

I have a CHI too and it works great!

How do you use a Chi and what products do you use? thank you!?

I used a leave-in conditioner designed for people who were straightening. But even with that, I ended up with damaged hair from straightening every day. I've gone curly now and rarely straighten anymore. It is much healthier.

How do you use a Chi and what products do you use? thank you!?

I use to work for sallys beauty supply so i know what im talking about. First you want to get a thermal protectant and when you hair is wet spray that in then blowdry. What the thermal protectant does is protect your hair from getting dry or damaged then slowly streighten your hair. Then you want to get a shine mist maybe smooth and shine. Spray that in your hair after your done. Style and your ready to go.

How do you use a Chi and what products do you use? thank you!?

i straighten and blow dry my hair every day and i don't have damaged and dried hair. you should use: a good conditioner after washing your hair, if you don't have thin hair that gets oily quick you can put a little dab of leave in conditioner before you brush your hair, a heat protector is a must (you can get some at a salon or at the drugstore) and regular trims will keep your hair looking great

How do you curl your hair with a CHI hair straighener?

When I use it, I put the strand of hair in the iron about mid shaft and slide it down flipping it either under or up with it. If you're looking to make it more curly, wrap the hair around the iron... pretty curls :)

How do you curl your hair with a CHI hair straighener?

Wrap it round and around in a circle tightly and put in the straightener. Don't do it too often though.

How do you curl your hair with a CHI hair straighener?

Make sure it isn't too hot because other wise you'll get horrible creases in your hair! Just wrap a small piece of hair around.

Dry frizzy hair, help!?

my hair recently has been getting incredibly dry and frizzy. my natural hair texture is wavy/curly and very puffy thick, coarse and frizzy. right now im using herbal essences body envy. the clarifying shampoos work better on my hair because i find things like pantene or even joico kpak leave this buildup that just makes me hair worse. is there a shampoo and conditioner out there that is light and will make my hair soft and managable? please,if you have any experience with a particular shampoo that helped you and you have the same hair texture as me, help me out! i guess i should also mention that i blow dry and straighten my hair (with a chi iron) every 2 to 3 days. i know its drying my hair out,but my hair is just a puffy mess if i dont straighten it. ultimatley id like to have nice enough hair to be able to wear it naturally. please help!

Dry frizzy hair, help!?

First I think you should start with a good hair cut to get rid of some of the damage and split ends. Keeping up with getting it trimmed every 5-7 weeks will help keep it healthy and growing.

I have the same type of hair as you and I can wear it naturally. Right now I'm using a sample of Dove Cool Moisture shampoo and conditioner and it works very well, but I find that my hair gets oily quicker.

My favorite shampoo and conditioner combo is Suave Naturals Strawberry shampoo and Suave Professionals Humectant conditioner. The Naturals shampoos come in different scents and they all work great, they get your hair clean (and it stays clean) but they don't dry your hair out or make it frizzy (they actually smooth it). The Humectant conditioner is made to moisturize and reduce damage and it works very well and you get soft hair from it.

Definitely try the Suave products first, but if they don't work for you (everyone is different), try Biolage Hydrating shampoo and Conditioning Balm (it's expensive but it's worth it: the shampoo cleans and moisturizes and the conditioner smooths and softens so well; it's just amazing). They have sample sizes at CVS and Rite Aid (and maybe Walgreens, not sure) that you can buy to try it out, it's much better than buying the full bottles because it might not work for you.

Rinsing your hair with cold water right before getting out of the shower will help add shine and smooth the hair cuticle (smooths out damage/frizz). About an hour after I get out of the shower, I use TRESemme Anti-Frizz Secret Smoothing Creme and it works fantastically.

Switching your shampoo and conditioner about every 2 months will help keep it from getting damaged. It sounds strange, I know, but I used Dove Sheer Moisture for a while and loved it but then my hair started to get really damaged (tons of fly aways), so I switched to a shampoo I got for Christmas (Nexxus). I still use the Dove every once in a while, but it's not a regular product I use.

For now, I think you should use a deep conditioner once a week in place of your regular conditioner. I love TRESemme Deep Quench Conditioning Treatment. Once your hair gets better you can switch to using the deep conditioner once every other week. I'm a big fan of TRESemme, they also have a heat protectant that I use when I blow dry or curl my hair (I never straighten mine, but you can use it for that, too). Try to start letting your hair air dry and don't straighten it so often.

I'm sorry this is so long, but I hope it helps you in some way. I've tried so many things over the past 2 years to get my hair into good shape and I've finally done it. Just be patient and I'm sure your hair will get better. 閳绢檵mily

Dry frizzy hair, help!?

Wow, I have same issue as you. I straight iron mine almost every day. I use Nexus Shampoo and Conditioner for damaged hair. Squeeze most of the water out of your hair and put a generouse amount all through your hair and let it stay in every day when you are in the shower or bath or at least 5 minutes. I then towel dry and dry my hair most of the way and when still a bit damp put in this serum in called John Frieda Collection (Frizz-Ease). It only takes a dime sized amount but I put in a quarter amount and I rub it on my ends first and then through my hair and my hair looks great after I straighten it. But when I don't use it or use a straighter I look horrible. You can find all of these products in your local drug store. I also put my straightner on medium and not high and use a ceramic kind.

If you can afford it - get the Chi brand (over $100).

Panten is horrible on your hair. I used it for years and couldn't figure out why my hair looked horrible.

What is the best straightner out there to use on thick, wavy hair? the CHI makes my hair dry.?

My hair is so nappy. I need a good straightner. what do u guys think?!

What is the best straightner out there to use on thick, wavy hair? the CHI makes my hair dry.?

you might want one that has levels. The CHI i had didn't have levels to choose and it fried my hair. Hope it helps

What is the best straightner out there to use on thick, wavy hair? the CHI makes my hair dry.?

I think Chi is the best!!

Are you using a heat protector? Any kind of spray before you straighten? If your just putting it on your hair without anything, then that's why it is dry. Try using Bedhead Fashionista, it will protect your hair from the heat, and make it look straighter. Don't use hairspray, its full of alcohol and will suck the moisture right out. Good luck

What is the best straightner out there to use on thick, wavy hair? the CHI makes my hair dry.?

Conair steamer is really great on my friends hair it comes out as straight as mine...its my straightner and my hair is naturally straight why did someone buy me that i dont know?

What is the best straightner out there to use on thick, wavy hair? the CHI makes my hair dry.?

I have nappy, DRY, cuuuurly hair. I use the CHI. You are not going to find a better straighener. However, you would be best served to use the accompanying products. Use the shampoo, conditioner, and serum. Your hair will be like nothing you could imagine! I know it's expensive, but you have to pay the price when you have hair like ours, and the results are amazing!!

What is the best straightner out there to use on thick, wavy hair? the CHI makes my hair dry.?

Try a Solia. Go to www.folica.com

They're about $88.00 and well worth it. I'm a hairstylist and have used my for a couple of years now and love it!

What is the best straightner out there to use on thick, wavy hair? the CHI makes my hair dry.?

ghd and you can get the ones for thick hair they also come with a heat spay before you use them and you can do different styles also m friend has curly thick hair and her hair looks so shiny and straight i hope they help you wont want a different pair after these ghd thickness they are brill ....x

What is the best straightner out there to use on thick, wavy hair? the CHI makes my hair dry.?

I use this fantastic product put out by John Frieda called "Frizz-Ease Hair Serum". It's this concentrated thick clear liquid that you run through your hair while it's damp. All I do is comb my hair, and my hair is stick straight all day! (but be careful not to use more than a dime sized amount- it's very concentrated!) John Frieda has a whole line of hair straightening products and all of them are highly recommended! Good luck!

What is the best straightner out there to use on thick, wavy hair? the CHI makes my hair dry.?

They conair ones work good. Expessially the one that has venting holes you can dry your hair when its dry and it wont fry up. It works really. good.

hope this helps =]

What is the best straightner out there to use on thick, wavy hair? the CHI makes my hair dry.?

I have very thick course hair. I also use a Chi. I find that the Aveda universal styling creme works well for me. I put a little in (about a dime size) before I blow dry and then about the same amount before I iron. Paying attelntion more to the middle and ends of my hair. Not the roots because it will look greasy. It seems to be all about the products you use. I wouldn't go to a conair iron. Alot of them are just ceramic coated (a very thin layer) and it wears off very quickly.

Which model CHI should I get?

Ok so i have long (inch or two below shoulder length) THICK curly hair. i have found that the only brand that works on my hair is the CHI, and the time has come for me to choose one for myself. I've only tried the thin-plated CHI's before, and they still take a while to work on my hair, but i know they have thick-plated ones (two inches) my question is should i get thin plated (for flexibility and because i know it works) or the thick plated (cuz it can get more hair but i don't know if it will work or not) and with your answer please provide a model number because there is more than one model of both thin and thick plated CHI's

Which model CHI should I get?

Im not sure what you mean by thick and thin plated. I have the same hair type as you, thick curly and frizzy, and I use a chi turbo. It works pretty well, and I can straigten my long (3 inches below the bra) in about an hour.

My one piece of advice when buy a chi is to buy it from a hair salon or stylist. I ordered my first two Chi originals from Folica.com, and when I shorted out the cords on the two, I was told that there was no warranty because folica is not a registered chi seller.

So i guess my suggestion would be to go for the CHI turbo, I think that they work the best on thick hair.

Which model CHI should I get?

I think u should purchase the CHI 1" turbo. I own a 1" CHI %26amp; I have thick, long hair (about 16" long). The 1" is preferred for it's simplicity and sleek design. It sounds like you will be doin your own hair, so the 2" plate would be quite bulky and you will def be more likely to burn your fingers. Since the original 1" CHI took a while, you should get the turbo (sorry, I'm not sure what model number it is). I am not a professional hairstylist, but I always do my hair and sometimes family and friends. May I also suggest that you use the CHI hair products. They are fairly expensive, but it's worth it. Your hair will feel silky and it will smell great!

Which model CHI should I get?

I have long , thick, curly hair and i had a 2" chi and it broke in like 6 months, and it fried my hair. I say you get an FHI, or a Paul Mitchell. But if you really want a chi then you should get a big plate one.

A particular way to curl hair with Chi straightening iron?

My straightening iron advertised it could do curls and such... but what is the proper technique to do this? My hair is fine, and I could use some body....

A particular way to curl hair with Chi straightening iron?

I have the Chi. Since it is so skinny; it can also be used as a curling iron. Use it the same way, just take a section which you want to curl, and take a small piece

take the chi and clamp the hair at the bottom and just curl the hair around it likeyou would a curling iron. putting a little gel/hairspray on the hair before you curl it will help keep the curl from coming undone. Hold the chi and the hair curled aorund it in place for about 30 sec

A particular way to curl hair with Chi straightening iron?

I'm not sure, but it should. I don't use Chi, I think my mom gave her Revlon one.

A particular way to curl hair with Chi straightening iron?

I don't really know if you can curl hair with a straight iron, how do you like the iron so far??? I almost bought one today.

A particular way to curl hair with Chi straightening iron?

I have fine hair too and I love to take about a 1-2 inch section of hair starting about 2 inches from the root. Put the hair in the Chi iron and rotate the iron as you pull it straight down through your hair to the tip. (You aren't starting at the tips and rolling up like you would a normal curling iron.) This will give loose pretty waves and a ton of volume. I figured this out by just trying different things with mine. Much to my surprise I have finally found a look I love!

A particular way to curl hair with Chi straightening iron?

The Chi is awesome at curling! As a stylist, I sell just as many flat irons to straight hair people (for curling) as I do for straightening. There are many different curls you can accomplish with it. It just takes a little practice. Depending on the length of your hair, place the flat iron at the midshaft of the hair, clasp the iron shut and twist and slide in one fluid motion, continuing all the way down until the end of the hair slides through. If you stop or pause, you can end up with weird creases or lines. Experiment with larger or smaller sections of hair, but guaranteed the Chi will be your new best friend. Also, experiment with starting near the scalp or use it to just bump the ends.

How can I repair the loose wire within my Chi Ceramic hair straightener.my warranty has expired.?

You may be able to take it to a general appliance fix-it shop. I did that with my electric razor--works like new. You can also contact the company to see what they recommend....

How can I repair the loose wire within my Chi Ceramic hair straightener.my warranty has expired.?

It is likely that you have at least one frien who could fix it, or that one of their freinds would know. Ask around.

Fixing the wire itself is a piece of cake, probably. Note that appliances always warn you that opening up the case could rewsult in fatal electric shock. Right. If the device is not plugged into the wall, you will not get an electric shock. Probably they put this sign on the device to scare people away from trying to repair them, thus forcing them to bring their device back for repair (and thus forcing them to pay money... so it goes with industry...)

If it is just a loose wire, it should take about 5 min to open up the case and re-solder the wire or tighten the screw. I still recommend getting someone who knows what they are doing, but that does not mean it must cost anything.

Silly question from me: What is a chi?

Could someone please explain to me what a chi for the hair is, what it's used for, and how it works?

I've apparently just come from under my rock that is in a cave located on a deserted island somewhere?

Silly question from me: What is a chi?

a chi is a flat hair iron, that doesn't burn hair and leaves it silky and smooth while realllly straight.

here's the link check it out.

Silly question from me: What is a chi?

A Chi Farouk is a hair straightener. It works like this:

You turn it on, it heats up the two ceramic plates. Once its done, you put your hair between the plates and push them towards eachother as you bring it down your hair. The result is perfectly straight hair.

Here is a pic of a Chi:

Which hair iron is better for very frizzy, curly hair, the CHI or Sedu?

medium length hair. pros, cons, what you reccomend. beginner at straightening hair

Which hair iron is better for very frizzy, curly hair, the CHI or Sedu?

The Solia flat iron is the one you want if you want to be more free with your,i have a Solia and i can straighten it,curl it and so much more, and It's not very expensive, but it is a just a little bit heavier than the others you mentioned,it won't hurt your hand though. The Solia is good for short to medium hair.

The Sedu is the one that i plan to buy next,i think people with hair a little past their shoulders have had better results with the Sedu, people with short hair however disliked it.The Sedu is very light-weight,but the plates on the iron are very wide, and not good for curling and waving your hair, but the good thing is that they offer 2 different sizes. The Sedu is good for people with medium to long hair.

The CHI is a piece of crap in my opinion,it is not the flat iron you want for very thick, frizzy, curly hair.I have heard hundreds of stories about the CHI severely damaging hair, breaking down after 6-12 months and just falling apart. The CHI is recommended for people with long fine/thin hair.

Which hair iron is better for very frizzy, curly hair, the CHI or Sedu?

Sedu

go to Folica.com and read about it.

I have owned one for about a year now and I will never buy anything different.

Which hair iron is better for very frizzy, curly hair, the CHI or Sedu?

Remington or ghds are great for frizz heads...x

Which hair iron is better for very frizzy, curly hair, the CHI or Sedu?

Sedu is great for smoothing out frizz, especially if you live in a humid place like Florida.

Ok Ladies which is better the CHI Rocket Hair Dryer or T3 Tourmaline Featherweight?

thanks girls

ps its for my sister not me lol

Ok Ladies which is better the CHI Rocket Hair Dryer or T3 Tourmaline Featherweight?

T3 Tourmaline definitely. I work at a hair salon, and that is one of the best dryers you can get. It's very lightweight (hence the Featherweight name) and it's quiet as well. This product also comes with a four year warranty, that they are very good about. You sign up online for the warranty and it takes 3 minutes. Then if ANYTHING happens to it, if you have your serial number they send you a new one, no problems.

My CHI hair straigthener wont work?

ive had it for a few years..and i cant find the CHI website or contact info. What should i do? my straightener wont turn on and i really want my hair straight tomorrow

please only answers regarding fixing my straightener, thats what i mostly care about. it costed me a lot of money

thanks

My CHI hair straigthener wont work?

I own a CHI...and the warantee book I got says...

For Service contact Farouk Systems at 281-876-2000

My CHI hair straigthener wont work?

You said you've had it for a few years... Those things only last for about 1yr of usage, so it's probably time for you to buy a new one. You know how clothes wear out and don't last forever no matter the price? The same goes for flat irons.

You can check the warranty that came with the orginal package and find your receipt and see what happens.

My CHI hair straigthener wont work?

Check the warranty. if it expired, just buy a new one. They usually don't work for more than 5 years...

My CHI hair straigthener wont work?

IDK I would try plugging it in again while holding it under running water. HTH

My CHI hair straigthener wont work?

Hey,

I have really curly hair and go through hair straighteners a lot. Three years for yours is very good. But my advice is that you'll pro bally just have to buy a new one. I go through one about every two years or less. I have had many brands including the chi (which is very good). The straightener did you good with three years service but its time is up. Time to go shopping!!!!!!!!!!!!

My CHI hair straigthener wont work?

they are expensive. I love mine. Have you tried moving the cord to see if maybe there is a short in it? Since the cord is constantly moving, something mite have come loose inside. The warranty is now out so you will have to purchase another one probebly. I'd take it apart and check the wiring.

My CHI hair straigthener wont work?

I've been using chi irons for years and they only last around a year. Mine even with minimal use still crap out around a year. Time for a new one! Buy one on ebay, you can get them around $30 or more cheaper than if you bought them at a salon. thats what I do.

My CHI hair straigthener wont work?

u have to buy a new one now

Girls who straighten their hair!?

I recently got a new haircut-note the avatar-and haven't owned a straightener before. I used to have side bangs so it looked fine with just blow drying, but this style doesn't work that way. I get all kinds of fly aways and it gets all frizzy and such. I have natural wave at the ends of my hair and that's basically all I need to straighten. Well my bangs too.

Anyways, I need a straightener. It must be under 50 dollars and I have to get it at Target-I'm not made of money. I can't afford the Chi and my hair doesn't call for that kind of straightener, just something more low key. What size should I get and brand? Please give me links from Target and reviews from ones you've used.

No rude answers, just answer my question please-thanks!

Girls who straighten their hair!?

It is very important to get a straightner with ceramic rather than meal plates. I think i use a revlon strightner. If you get a strightner that is very wide you can strighten your hair faster but if you get a very thin one you can use it as a curling iron as well - it turns out very cute (wrap your hair around it at the top of your head and pull stright down so the hair sprials around the iron as you go down) so then you wont have to by two appliacnes. But no matter what strightner you get i think it is important to get heat protecting shampoos/conditoers/sprays. I would say go with a ceramic iron with various heat settings to adjust to your hair type - you should find one for around 20-30 dollars and spend the extra money on heat protecting anything. HAve fun!

Girls who straighten their hair!?

Try Conair! It works great and its not expensive at all. You can get a smaller or bigger one, whichever fits ur hair type.

Girls who straighten their hair!?

I don't have any links, but I use the Remington Wet to Straight. I got it from target and I think it was either 20 or 30 dollars. I use it everyday and I love it! It works really good and you can even dry your hair and straighten it at the same time.

Girls who straighten their hair!?

get a revlon ceramic. its kinda big, but its does a great job! and its like 20 $$. so you can save 30 bucks.

Girls who straighten their hair!?

http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.d...

This is the straightener i have. It works well and its low cost. %26amp; im pretty sure target has it too. They have the flat plates and then they have another straightener with curved plates, mine are curved, but it doesnt really matter. =D

Girls who straighten their hair!?

get a conair one, like a one inch. great for bangs around 20 dollars. it gets realllllly hot and straightens very well. i use mine almost everyday.

Girls who straighten their hair!?

I have a Remington Wet 2 Straight and it works great. I've owned two others and this is by far the best one. It was under $30. Here's a link:

Girls who straighten their hair!?

Ok I found you a good one

Andis Ceramic 1" Ionic styling straightener

It says it is not available in stores only on-line

Shipping is free and it is 35.99

Ceramic and Ionic are definitely the key in straightening. . . there really is a science to ionic technology but it is long and kinda boring to explain.

A one inch is great because you can get closer to the scalp. I have really long hair and I prefer to use a smaller iron because you get better results.

Also Andis has a good reputation in the styling business. They make some of the best clippers and trimmers in the business so it is a name I trust

I hope this helps!

Girls who straighten their hair!?

it depends on if your hair is thinner or not...if it is thin, then i think you should get a smaller sized one.

i would reccomend:

http://www.target.com/gp/detail.html/sr=...

dont get wet2straight ones...they suck ***...and they make your hair frizzyer..

and the ceramic are best for your hair, but are REALLY expensive.

so this is probably the best for you.

=] i straighten my hair everyday..

so i hope i helped.

Girls who straighten their hair!?

I personally like Revlon.

I bought the revlon stylix, it's red and white, ceramic.

It was 30 dollars at Walmart, I'm sure Target has it too.

It's the best straightener I've owned.

Girls who straighten their hair!?

do not get the wet2straight.

its a piece of crap, i own one.

%26amp; it straightens really badly.

and you should NOT use it on wet hair, or even damp. you hear a sizzling noise and it fries your hair.

and don't get a cheap conair, they are even worse.

i'm not sure what straightener you should get...you should look around and read reviews on them.

i'm buying the chi soon, though. saved up for one. haha.

I've heard chi is the best...what's the best for a bit less $$?

i've also heard jilbere de paris could be good for less $$? (it's on sale right now...i dont think i could convince my parents to spend a much as a chi costs...) my hair is thick and semi-wavy but not curly

I've heard chi is the best...what's the best for a bit less $$?

try a conair

or try a solia, it is a little less then a chi, but is still really great

http://www.folica.com/Solia_Flat_359_1.h...

I've heard chi is the best...what's the best for a bit less $$?

i don't even know what you're talking about,

I've heard chi is the best...what's the best for a bit less $$?

You can get CHI's for cheap on eBay. I got mine 2 years ago off eBay and it still works great!

I've heard chi is the best...what's the best for a bit less $$?

I was going to recommend jilbere when I saw your question! Thats what I have %26amp; i love it.

I've heard chi is the best...what's the best for a bit less $$?

She's talking about hair straighteners...

If you don't have super curly hair, you don't need to get the most expensive kind of straighteners. Don't go for the drugstore kind, they'll burn your hair and your skin, probably. Chi's are the best kind, as far as I've heard, but they're too expensive, I agree.

Go to a beauty store and buy one with ceramic plates. I'm sorry I don't know brand names, but the one my mom got from the beauty store was cheaper than the Chi, but works great :]

good luck!

I've heard chi is the best...what's the best for a bit less $$?

Try someones Chi!! It is so fast and your hair will stay straight.Just be careful not to burn your hair. Its really fast to use. Its so worth it.

I've heard chi is the best...what's the best for a bit less $$?

You can find a great Chi or Sedu flat iron on eBay for less than retail. Another option is one by Coroliss. I found sellers on Ebay selling theirs for around $30-$50.

I've heard chi is the best...what's the best for a bit less $$?

my hair is also very thick and wavy. i have used all kinds of other brands and none of them work as good as the chi. this one makes my hair a lot smoother and straight. i say just save the money and get the chi. don't waste your money on the cheap ones.

Help plz with hair straightner?

people say the chi singes ur hair is that true but my hair is thick

Help plz with hair straightner?

I have thick hair and have been straightening for years and have never had a problem with singing in any straightners i have ever used. Make sure your using a good salon quality product before using any heat on your hair.

Help plz with hair straightner?

I have thin hair and a chi. you just have to use iron guard. my hair is fine and i love my chi.

Help plz with hair straightner?

I think that the ceramic straightners are the best. They do less damage to your hair and heat up really quick...like 15-30 seconds flat. Gold ones fry your hair and the regular silver barrel ones just suck!

Help plz with hair straightner?

i just got a chi and it works ok...i also have really thick hair. my fave straightner is the Corioliss~

閳?alyssa

Help plz with hair straightner?

i have really thick hair and i use ceramic straightner and i doesnt burn my hair

Help plz with hair straightner?

I've used the chi, and asked my mom for it for christmas since she has her cosmotalogy licence, and instead she got me the babyliss nano titanium straightener. and I have really thick hard to straighten hair and this one works really well and just glides through my hair leaving it smooth and straight all day! my hair has also been getting less damaged than before. I would recommend it!

BTW: it cost the same or a little less than the chi

What could it be? A marble sized blister that went away but now hair loss on my chi?

My chi is ten years old and a few weeks ago he got a marble sized blister beneath his right eye. He's had it there once before but it was half the size and went away after a few days. This time it lasted two weeks and now that it's been gone a week he's losing his hair where the blister was and the skin is all saggy and wrinkly. I'm wandering if this is more serious than I believe and if I should go ahead and pawn something to see the vet. I'll be taking him to the vet anyways mid November when I'll finally have some extra money.

What could it be? A marble sized blister that went away but now hair loss on my chi?

Sounds like he has a cyst. They can get pretty nasty and infected,as well as very sore. The vet can drain it and put some antibiotics on the site.

What could it be? A marble sized blister that went away but now hair loss on my chi?

could somebody touched him with a cigarette?

CHI hair straitners on ebay?

I too have gone thru the process of looking for the best flat iron and I believe; in my opinion, that i have found it. Mine is called Sedu straightener. I have thick hair so after blow drying it - I want that super straight look.

The website I went to is called www.folica.com, there you will find women like yourself who give ratings and pics of before and after with their hair. Here you will be able to find ceramic straighteners, wet/dry straighteners and every other beauty tool in the business. (the Chi straightener is located there as well, with ratings) Hope this helps!!

CHI hair straitners on ebay?

If your going to get a CHI, they cost $135.00, my cost. You do the math. I wouldn't buy one off eBay.

My Hair Feels and Looks Dryer Than Before?

I just recently got my haircut (I grew it out for about 2 years). It's pretty long, about to almost my chin. Anyway I got it cut and right after it was cut it felt amazing and I could run my fingers through it and what not, my hairstylist used a flat iron on my hair and I loved the results, it looked badass! now I've been doing it my self for about 2 months I use "Sunsilk frizzy cream, Paul Mitchell's Super Skinny Serum, and Biosilk Silk Therapy" in my hair after everyshower, I take a shower every other day or every other 2 days. The thing is I can't run my fingers through my hair as easily as I could 2 months ago and it feels pretty bad compared to what it was 2 months ago :(, do tell me what you guys think because I'm somewhat ignorant when it comes to hair, also I only flat iron my hair for 15-25 minutes every other or every other 2 days... it looks a bit dry too! I would appreciate if someone could suggest what I can do to help my hair, I have naturally wavy/curly hair.Chi FlatIron

My Hair Feels and Looks Dryer Than Before?

a hair iron + silicone based hair care products = fried hair

Silicones have a low boiling point, and some are small enough to penetrate the hair shaft, below the cuticle.

So, just imagine this.. you apply a product containing silicone, and remembering a percentage of the molecules will be below the cuticle, then you use your hair iron %26amp; boil the silicone molecules.

The molecules above the cuticle are not too bad, however the ones that have penetrated the hair boil internally %26amp; cause severe structural %26amp; cuticle damage to your hair....

the answer - use silicone free products only

hope this helps

((( a hot hairdryer will also boil silicone)))

My Hair Feels and Looks Dryer Than Before?

use a heat protecting spray. flat irons are brutal for hair. at least you have the best straightener available, so you should be fine in the long run. just don't put too much stuff in your hair, that dries it out too.

My Hair Feels and Looks Dryer Than Before?

Go to your hair salon and ask the stylist what you should do, buy what they put in it.

My Hair Feels and Looks Dryer Than Before?

The flat iron is drying your hair and you have to get a trim because it has been two months and it's time.

I prefer the Maxiglide by Maxiusbeauty.com because it incorporates steam to smooth out your hair without frying it like a flat iron would.

If the flat iron has a lower setting, you might want to experiment until your heating level is just warm enough to smooth out your hair without destroying it.

If there is a way you can go a little longer between using the iron, the healthier your hair will be. If you wear your hair flat and smooth, you might want to wrap your hair at night.

You would:

Brush your hair around your head and pin it up with flat hair clips. Then, tie your hair with a silk or satin scarf.

In the morning, let your hair down and comb and lightly brush your hair into your style.

Your products are fine but be careful handling the flat iron.

My Hair Feels and Looks Dryer Than Before?

before drying your hair, make sure to apply a moisturizer on it to prevent it from drying out while straightening it.

My Hair Feels and Looks Dryer Than Before?

You are likely over moisturizing. Believe it or not too much moisturizer can make your hair feel "dry". All heat sources will damage your hair. Even though you do not use it for long periods or everday you hair is not living, it is a dead extension made of protein just as your nails are. Every time you apply heat, the damage progresses and cannot be reversed. You can mask the damage but growing new hair is the only way to remove it. Use one simple mositurizer on your hair after washing and rinse thoroughly. You can use a heavier conditioner once a week or every other week as a treatment to help smooth the damaged hair. I would limit the heat source to avoid more damage.

My Hair Feels and Looks Dryer Than Before?

The best way to find the best products for your hair is to try them all. That would be pretty expensive but go over to a friends house and use some of her stuff. See how it works, and just keep trying new things. Hair may work with products from this company and not that company....it's all trial and error.

If I can suggest something, I would suggest you try a hot oil treatment....for a cheaper way to have great soft and silky hair with less frizzies, warm up some olive oil (regular cooking stuff) in the microwave and massage it into your hair while it is dry. Wrap it up in a warm towel from the drier and sit for an hour or so. Maybe give yourself a facial at the same time. Then get in the shower, and shampoo out all the oil (because water won't get the oil out--oil and water don't mix) and then condition your hair. Viola! Beautiful silky hair.

The most key thing to protecting your locks is to stay away from all heat. Yep, that means no hairdrier, no straightner, no curling iron either....It's very hard not to advert to these products but just try it for a week. Don't blow dry your hair for a week....try it. I know it's hard not to but if you stay away from things with heat such as blow driers, curling irons, straightners, etc....you will notice a HUGE change in the feel and look of your hair. It will be so much more healthy.

Chi straighteners vrs. curling irons.?

what is harder on your hair. chi straightening your hair or using a curling iron ( is there a chi curling iron or something that is equal too a chi)

Chi straighteners vrs. curling irons.?

I just looked at your questions and I have this to say. STOP WORRYING ABOUT YOUR FREAKIN HAIR. Nice jab about the pit sweat in the other girls 'can I be a model' questions photo though. Very observant.

Chi straighteners vrs. curling irons.?

I really dont know what the "chi" means?

but i straighten my hair everyday.

my mom curls her hair everyday.

her hair is a little stiff, but thats because she uses

way too much hair spray.

the straightener doesn't ruin my hair, it actually

makes my hair very soft, smooth, silky, shiny.

(the 4 s's) =]]

閳?br>Chi straighteners vrs. curling irons.?

I use chia-pets

Chi straighteners vrs. curling irons.?

the curling iron is most likely harsher. there is a chi curling iron. my mom has it.

Chi straighteners vrs. curling irons.?

the chi is one of the best straightners out there. it uses a special metal that makes sure to lock in moisture and prevents damages. Chi also makes a curling iron which is amazing also. I broke my chi straightner and bought something that ususes the same metal and my hair became soo dried out. I immediatly bought a chi again and my hair is shiny and soft and straightens super fast (and i have curly, thick hair)

Chi straighteners vrs. curling irons.?

i think chi straightening your hair is harder the curling iron.

Is the new chi pink hair straghtner good or bad does it heat up fast let me know the best one?

My hairstylist recommended this Chi flatiron, she uses one on my hair and it gets really straight. and my hair is hard to straighten.

Is the new chi pink hair straghtner good or bad does it heat up fast let me know the best one?

I'm not sure about the chi pink. But I use a maxi-glide in my hair. Unlike most straighteners the Maxi glide puts mostier back into your hair. It works really well on my hair, and my hair is so thick and spongy but it works well on my hair. And really straightens it out.

Is the new chi pink hair straghtner good or bad does it heat up fast let me know the best one?

i think ghds are better, ive had mine for 3 years and used them daily, they may not be pink but they work AMAZINGLY and even though they have been around the world and dropped a million times they still work, I have just replaced them for the new model but from my experience ghds are by far better than any straighteners

look at it this way, every place i get my hair cut (including toni %26amp; guy) use ghds and hairdressers swear by them

My hair is super curly...how can i be able to straighten is without it being puffy? i use the CHI iron?

Try and straighten it by blowdrying it with a defrizzant first, then put a straightening spray in and use your irons. I use GHDs and they dont create puffiness. Just make sure you use product in it first and you shouldnt have a problem.

My hair is super curly...how can i be able to straighten is without it being puffy? i use the CHI iron?

Get some straightening hair products. Blow dry your hair in sections. Flat Iron it in Sections.

My hair is super curly...how can i be able to straighten is without it being puffy? i use the CHI iron?

My hair is super curly...how can i be able to straighten is without it being puffy? i use the CHI iron?

umm i dont knnow which is ur iron but u need a ceramic one thats all i know definetedly itll be gr8 4 ur nice hair!

p.s. Ur pretty! :)

My hair is super curly...how can i be able to straighten is without it being puffy? i use the CHI iron?

Use 'Herbal Essences Dangerously Straight' Shampoo and Conditioner. It works well to soften and protect your hair while you straighten it. And even if you use it and you don't straighten your hair after use, it still makes it soft.

TIP: If you just washed your hair with the 'Herbal Essences Dangerously Straight' Shampoo and Conditioner and aren't planning on straightening it tie it back in a tight low ponytail after you towel dry and quickly brush it and leave it like that until it dries. When you take out your hair it should have turned less puffy at the top and curl at the ends.

My hair is super curly...how can i be able to straighten is without it being puffy? i use the CHI iron?

Hair that has been relaxed or straightened with L'Oreal Xtenso can it be touched up with Rusk o

i think it can be touched up with Rusk or Chi products......

just be careful abt it!

thanks and good luck!

I have really thick curly hair but it wont get straight AND i tried really expensive brands like chi

You could try a few things, but it depends on your hair type; you'll probably need to consult with a stylist.

First, you could have your hair thinned out a little, then try straightening with flat irons.

Second, you could consult about a hair relaxer, but it will be permanently straightened.

Good luck!

I have really thick curly hair but it wont get straight AND i tried really expensive brands like chi and nexus

I also have thick curly hair and have only tried straightening it a couple times. I always wondered if those expensive ones work, but i guess not too well huh? I've fought with my hair for so long but now I finally have a solution...let it be curly! I think I look best this way anyhow. I put some strong gel, spray it, and I'm good to go! Good luck and enjoy your beautiful hair the way it is =]

I have really thick curly hair but it wont get straight AND i tried really expensive brands like chi and nexus
