Sedu(1.5 inch) or Chi(2 inch) Hair Straightener?

I have medium to long hair, that is very thick. Which one last longer? Better quality? Easier to use? Please give details, and where you purchased it from.

Sedu(1.5 inch) or Chi(2 inch) Hair Straightener?

CHI CHI CHI

I got my off of ebay...and it is the ONLY thing that has EVER worked for my hair. My hair is also medium to long and EXTREMELY thick. Your hair stays straight and smooth untiil you wash it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It cost me about $85, but it's soooooooo worth it. Everybody I work with has one. (I got the 2" Turbo Chi"

Also...if you use biosilk (also by Farouk), that only makes things a million times better for your hair.

Sedu(1.5 inch) or Chi(2 inch) Hair Straightener?

i like my chi, i have had it since december and it works well. i am not sure about the sedu. I bought mine from Ulta and it was on sale around the holidays!

Sedu(1.5 inch) or Chi(2 inch) Hair Straightener?

Get the CHI!

i bought mine off of ebay, two (or three) years ago (used it everyday for a year) , and it still works great!

Sedu(1.5 inch) or Chi(2 inch) Hair Straightener?

I purchased my 2" Chi off of ebay and I LOVE it! I have extremely thick, curly hair and I find that this straightener will do the job in just one run-through. I recommend Biosilk products as well. They make your hair ultra smooth and shiny, and will protect your hair against the extreme heat of the straightening iron.

How much is a CHI hair straightener?

I need a new hair straightener and I was wondering the price of a CHI. Any suggestions?

How much is a CHI hair straightener?

How much is a CHI hair straightener?

How much is a CHI hair straightener?

How much is a CHI hair straightener?

Help straightening my hair?!?

I have really thick, poofy hair and it's hard to straighten. I've tried straightening in sections and layers but it still doesn't work very well. I don't know how to get my hair shiny and thin, like how they did it at the salon.

Also, I already have a really good flat iron, a pink Chi, so I don't think that's the problem.

Please help!!! Thanks :)

Help straightening my hair?!?

Chis are good :) but after my chi wore out i baught a good hair day straightener (ghd) and it worked alot better than a chi. When i used chi it made my hair have static. idk why though. lol. So at night takea little before you sleep, straighten your hair really good in sections. I spend alot of time doing it at night so it will look perfect. And when you get ready in the morning straighten over the parts that are wavy agian. :)

Help straightening my hair?!?

brush through your hair

then put heat protector on it

Help straightening my hair?!?

Try using straightening and smothing products before you straighten. Loreal has a good product, I think it's called Hot2Straight. Ask your stylist how they did your hair. If this is what your really want, buy the exact products they used and follow their instructions.

Help straightening my hair?!?

I ahve the same problem. i'm not really experienced with doing hair. I go to the Egyptians and get my hair done once a week or every two weeks. they use a blower that contains alot of heat and a roller brush. Plus it only costs $30 and you don't have to perm your hair.

Help straightening my hair?!?

blow dry your hair first, then use the flat iron. also try to find a straightening serum [i think john frieda makes one called "frizz ease"] and use that.

Help straightening my hair?!?

you could try a shampoo and conditioner for frizzy hair, then put heat protection spray/serum on. blow drying it straight before you straighten might make it less frizzy? the hair products at the salon probably made a huge difference so ask about them.

Help straightening my hair?!?

well ask the people at the salon i had the same primal but i try ed every thing so i cant tall you the name of the stuff to us but it comes i a Battle.

Help straightening my hair?!?

Me too- it'll take a miracle to make my hair completely straight.

When you find out, tell me!

Help straightening my hair?!?

i have similar hair and believe me when i say this..it will be your straighteners that you use! the straighteners that they use in salons are called GHD's...i have them now too and believe me..they work WONDERS on your hair..also about your straighteners..they might be to small...you should get larger ceramic straighteners for thicker hair... to make it shiny and soft use a coconut shampoo or even Head %26amp; Shoulders...when straightning your hair always use a heat protecting spray which prevents you losing hair and also gives you a nice shine...and finally a striaghtening tip... part your hair in the center and get 2 hair bobbles..take out a small section, replace the rest of hair in a bobble...striaghten over till straight then tie in a bobble..repeat until finished

hope i was helpful =] x

Help straightening my hair?!?

Always always use product. Especially when you use any type of heat on your hair. I have the same type of hair and am able to get in silky smooth with my CHI and some product. I use Pureology Super Straight, it has heat protection and relaxes any curl in my hair. Remember not to use to much of any product. I also recommend not buying anything over the counter. It is just bad for your hair. You can find all the product you need on ebay or amazon for reasonable prices.

Also I recommend using a round brush and blow dryer first before the iron. For your hair to come out super straight it has to be super dry. If it is not dry when you put the iron in it...the iron will do nothing. Any type of moisture will make you hair strand expand so all of your work will be for nothing. Also some thinning might help. Go hit up your local salon and ask them to remove some bulk from you hair. Also don't be afraid to ask your stylist for some pointers on what you can do to get what you are looking for.

Hope I helped.

Help straightening my hair?!?

Never towel dry ur hair, and when u shower, shampoo ur scalp not the end ( it will dry them) and conditioned ur ends and leave a shower cap for 10 mins before rinsing:

1. when ur hair is wet from a shower use a leave in shampoo to protect it (apply it at the ends of ur hair)

2. then apply a serum again to wet hair, distributing all around ur hair

3. part ur hairs in sections starting with the bottom part, blow dry it then using a fine toothed comb to comb through hair after its straight

4. work ur way up

5. If your hair is pin straight apply a pomade like garnier fructise

6. If its not, use ur straitening iron to give it the finishing touch

7. remember to add the pomade at the end

Can i use a CHI hair straightener when i go to india?

If i bought a chi hair straightener from US, can i use it in india too??

if YES..do i have to buy a specific kind of converter to use it?

if NO..y not? is there a way i could somehow make it work there? or do we have good straighteners in US tht can also be used in India?

Can i use a CHI hair straightener when i go to india?

You don't want to buy a cheap iron and have your hair not be as nice as you would like it period so here's a link that should be helpful for you to use your iron in a foreign outlet:

http://www.travelproducts.com/store/elec...

Can i use a CHI hair straightener when i go to india?

I wouldn't ask that question on here, and risk damage to my CHI!

Can i use a CHI hair straightener when i go to india?

you do need an adapter. do a quick search for adapters for small appliances for international use

Can i use a CHI hair straightener when i go to india?

most likely you're going to need a converter... if you're staying at a hotel, they will probably know and / or have what you need.

i'd buy a cheapo one for the trip, it's not worth all that money if you fry it.

Can i use a CHI hair straightener when i go to india?

You'll probably need a converter, but be careful you don't short circuit the iron. that happens sometimes with appliances. Get a conair iron or something like that for $20 at the drug store don't risk it.

Can i use a CHI hair straightener when i go to india?

hey, I am going to India and I am planning to take my Chi hair straightener. Wanted to ask you if yours worked there? Could you email me at e_kta@hotmail.com. Thanks!

CHI ceramic ionic hair dryer is only 1300watts.Is this powerful enough?

as a stylist i prefer higher watts but ive heard such great things about chi is it worth it

CHI ceramic ionic hair dryer is only 1300watts.Is this powerful enough?

a girl at my salon bought the chi blowdryer last year and she dont have it anymore. she said it wasn't powerful and it didnt last long, not even 6 months. so i would say no. i use the elchim 2001 and ive had it for 1 1/2 years and still going. i LOVE that blowdryer its powerful and gets hot, great for blowouts!

Better hair straighener than Chi (and similarly priced)?

I know that Chi works reeally well at straightening my hair, but I was wondering if there are any straighteners that are better overall-in terms of not damaging my hair from heat, etc., but still straighten quickly. (I have just-past-the-shoulder wavy hair and would like to use the flat iron every other day, or so.) Thanks!!!

Better hair straighener than Chi (and similarly priced)?

I have a Solia and I love it it is just like the Chi but the Solia works way better on my hair then the Chi. It heats up really fast and goes up to 450 you can control the temperature. It is pure ceramic and has ionic technology in it to help with the frizz and keep hair straight longer. It adds tons of shine to my hair. It was $88 tax and s%26amp;h free at www.folica.com

Better hair straighener than Chi (and similarly priced)?

"Bio Ionic" is actually a pretty great hair straightener. It leaves my hair really silky and smooth and it only takes like 5 seconds to heat up. I do recommend this one!

ps - my hair is curly/waivy, frizzy etc...so it does wonders on my hair.

Cheers!

Better hair straighener than Chi (and similarly priced)?

a straightener is going to have heat which means it is going to damage you hair but chi makes this stuff called iron guard (google chi iron guard) that is supposed to help your hair hold up better against the heat

PS i have a chi and you are right they work GREAT

Better hair straighener than Chi (and similarly priced)?

GHD.

Better hair straighener than Chi (and similarly priced)?

Solia hair straighteners

www.folia.com

i think theyre only like 85 bucks but they work almost better than a CHI

Better hair straighener than Chi (and similarly priced)?

Use an ionic flat iron. It will not curl back easly.

Solia makes a Tourmaline Ceramic Ionic Flat Iron.

According to the Solia flat iron website, "tourmaline,

a precious stone, is used to generate up to 6 times more

negative ions than traditional ceramic irons".( $75/85)

Ebay and Chi??

I went to Ebay, to look for Chi straighteners. They're too expensive in stores and stuff. So, I found a couple, and they're all brand-new. Many are as little as $50. Would it be a good idea to get a hair straightener for Ebay?

Ebay and Chi??

I am sure it would be fine, Chi's don't really break, trust me, my girlfriend and I have dropped hers countless times, it's still fine, and she has had it for about over a year, you're good, just make sure that if you do buy it off ebay, it's authentic.

Ebay and Chi??

No it would not be a good idea to get it from ebay beacuse if it were to break you would not be able to get a new one which they will give you if it breaks with in a year. You have to purchase it from a salon to get this deal from the Chi manufacture and make sure to keep your receipt or they will not let you return to get another one. Trade secret sells them for about $120-$130.

Ebay and Chi??

I wouldnt. is it worth it to spend 50 on something broken you cant use or 150 on something you can use everyday?

If I spiral perm my hair can I use the chi flat iron?

Spiral perm?

If I spiral perm my hair can I use the chi flat iron to straightened my hair for a differnt look so that I don't have to wear it curly all the the time.

If I spiral perm my hair can I use the chi flat iron?

are you sure you want to spiral perm your hair?

because you can just make it look naturally curly and THEN if you want spiral curls than you can use a curling iron. when your hair is curly/wavy, you can wear it natural, straighten it, or curl it MORE!

If I spiral perm my hair can I use the chi flat iron?

Yes....It should work! My sister has one and it works great!

If I spiral perm my hair can I use the chi flat iron?

Nope, nope, nope...Flat ironing your hair will progressively relax your perm and break off your hair.

Chi flat iron not working on hair....?

Recently, my chi flat iron hasn't been straightening my hair. It gets hot and everything its just that when I use it, my hair just poofs back. This started happening just recently. Is it my hair or the iron? If it's my hair, what can I do to help it?

Chi flat iron not working on hair....?

I would suggest trying some sleek hair serum so when you straighten it, it won't poof back up. Also try using a special shampoo for your hair. But you should go to a salon and ask them about it, they should know what to tell you.

Good Luck! :)

Chi flat iron not working on hair....?

To add, I think you should make sure that the straightener is clean. You should also try a serum on your hair.

Chi flat iron not working on hair....?

Yep what they said. Works for me every day!!!

Helen of Troy or CHI hair straightener??? help plz?

The helen of troy hair straightener is on sale for 30 dollars and its a $119.99 value i m just wondering if its any good or any better than a CHI hair straightener, they are both almost the same price regular price of course but the helen of troy one is on sale for 30 dollars.. anyone know ? should i get it? oh and its a 1" ceramic flat iron .. any advice on whether or not its good to buy?

Helen of Troy or CHI hair straightener??? help plz?

CHI has a better reputation, but if you are strapped for cash, and don't have wild bush hair that needs taming- go for the deal with helen of troy.

A friend of mine with long curly hair uses helen, and she never complains.

If you don't like it- you can always get the CHI later.

Chi Hairstraightner Help~?

I live in georgia and i cant find ANY stores that sell the pink ribbon chi iron. I dont want to buy it online. Does anyone know of any stores that carry the pink ribbon hair straightner from chi?

Chi Hairstraightner Help~?

Do NOT get CHI. my family went thru 5 CHI in 3 yrs. Chi breaks within a few months and you have to pay $35 plus shipping to get it fixed.

U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission just announced a recall of Chi flat irons due to fire and burn hazards:

hair salons in the mall

Chi Hairstraightner Help~?

Believe it or not, I actually found it on New Years Eve at my local grocery store! Yep, you read this right, at the grocery store. The only reason I noticed it, is I use Chi products for my hair and was looking for something and there was not only the straightener, but other Chi products as well. I'd check at drug stores too. You'd be surprised what you can find. I know you don't want to buy on line, but I think that would be a good place, and if you don't want to pay full price, try ebay.com, they might carry what you want.

Chi Hairstraightner Help~?

i bought mine online but then after 3 days of using it I had to return it cause the switch wouldnt work.....

Chi Hairstraightner Help~?

Target has it and you could always order it on-line and pick it up at the store. Is there a reason you don't want to order it on-line... if its the shipping, I am sure that it will be free as that chi your talking about is over $100 dollars. You could also try Sephora and Ulta.

Chi Hairstraightner Help~?

Target carries the Chi Straightner, now you have to figure out what Target is closest to you, if any.

I bought mine online, it was safe and easy, and it works awsome.

High end hair straighteners - Chi, GHD, etc..?

I have curly, super unruly hair.. It looks a lot better straightened, but I've gone through a couple straighteners and they didn't work too well. Even with some products in my hair, my hair would like get poofy and un-straight rather quickly...sometimes not even straightening after several glides. They were pretty cheap though, like $20 or less; the last one I got was $35: better but still not too good.

For people with super unruly/dry hair, do you think it would be a worthwhile investment buying an expensive straightener? I was thinking of buying one of those $100 Chis, but I'm not sure how much it would make a difference.

High end hair straighteners - Chi, GHD, etc..?

It doesn't really make much of a difference what brand you get when it comes to straighteners. The construction, weight and warranty are what changes from brand to brand. What you should be looking for is a flat iron that has tourmaline. Tourmaline is a precious stone that generates 6 times more negative ions through heating than a regular ceramic iron. The negative ions are very gentle and use far-infared heat. Meaning, it will give your hair the smooth, frizz-free look without any extra damage. Also, look for one that goes up to at least 400 degrees, depending on your hair type. Anything over 400 degrees has potential to seriously damage your hair. Also, try taking smaller sections, starting at your nape/neck area and go slowly from the root to end, this will give you less damage, and a MUCH sleeker look! Also, try to not touch or play with the hair until it is cooled. This is because when you heat up the hair, the cuticle opens and if you play with your hair, it will cause frizziness and then while it cools, the cuticle closes and remains frizzy. So you don't really have to drop $100 on a Chi, just look for tourmaline, great warranty and a high heat! I hope this helps your hair and your wallet!

High end hair straighteners - Chi, GHD, etc..?

I love Remington's wet/dry straightner (and its cheap). Works great on thick curly frizzy hair. Its the best.

High end hair straighteners - Chi, GHD, etc..?

I have really dry, poofy hair, naturally. A while back, I got this:

http://www.target.com/Revlon-Perfect-Pro...

And it works PERFECTLY for me - so much, my parents went back and bought another one. What you should do though is for to a hair product place, like Sally's, and but large hair clips - two or three. When you straighten your hair, divide it like most people do horozontally, but also vertically. How my hair is, we had to do divide my hair into six different 'ponytails' and than divide those ponytails into four different layers.

If you don't want to do this every time you shower though, go to a professional salon and ask if they do Straight Balms.

High end hair straighteners - Chi, GHD, etc..?

I just bought a Chi last week. Get a 2 inch one since your hair is curly and especially if it's thick. The main differences between the cheap $35 ones and a high end straightener is the temperature it reaches and whether it is ceramic. The high end straighteners get significantly hotter which is what you want to get that curl out and to get silky smooth hair. The ceramic inner portion of the straightener also helps to achieve that silky smoothness and helps in evenly distributing the heat which also helps prevent damage somewhat ( the heat itself is significant damage to the hair obviously...). In short...buy a high end straightener! It's a good investment. FOLICA.com has chi's slightly cheaper than stores around where i live. I wish i would have gone to that site before going out to the store and buying my chi

High end hair straighteners - Chi, GHD, etc..?

I have a Solano Sapphire Iron, it works great, and my hair is really poofy/curly/thick/frizzy.

High end hair straighteners - Chi, GHD, etc..?

get a chi. it works really really well,

OR

get one from a salon, they usually have the best kinds, though they are a bit on the expensive side. But they do last a LOONG time

A particular way to curl hair with Chi straightening iron?

My straightening iron advertised it could do curls and such... but what is the proper technique to do this? My hair is fine, and I could use some body....

A particular way to curl hair with Chi straightening iron?

I have the Chi. Since it is so skinny; it can also be used as a curling iron. Use it the same way, just take a section which you want to curl, and take a small piece

take the chi and clamp the hair at the bottom and just curl the hair around it likeyou would a curling iron. putting a little gel/hairspray on the hair before you curl it will help keep the curl from coming undone. Hold the chi and the hair curled aorund it in place for about 30 sec

A particular way to curl hair with Chi straightening iron?

I'm not sure, but it should. I don't use Chi, I think my mom gave her Revlon one.

A particular way to curl hair with Chi straightening iron?

I don't really know if you can curl hair with a straight iron, how do you like the iron so far??? I almost bought one today.

A particular way to curl hair with Chi straightening iron?

I have fine hair too and I love to take about a 1-2 inch section of hair starting about 2 inches from the root. Put the hair in the Chi iron and rotate the iron as you pull it straight down through your hair to the tip. (You aren't starting at the tips and rolling up like you would a normal curling iron.) This will give loose pretty waves and a ton of volume. I figured this out by just trying different things with mine. Much to my surprise I have finally found a look I love!

A particular way to curl hair with Chi straightening iron?

The Chi is awesome at curling! As a stylist, I sell just as many flat irons to straight hair people (for curling) as I do for straightening. There are many different curls you can accomplish with it. It just takes a little practice. Depending on the length of your hair, place the flat iron at the midshaft of the hair, clasp the iron shut and twist and slide in one fluid motion, continuing all the way down until the end of the hair slides through. If you stop or pause, you can end up with weird creases or lines. Experiment with larger or smaller sections of hair, but guaranteed the Chi will be your new best friend. Also, experiment with starting near the scalp or use it to just bump the ends.

Ok kind of a dumb one I know. But has anyone ever used the Chi hair straightener. Is it good? The Ma

Im in a kind of price range _-150

Ok kind of a dumb one I know. But has anyone ever used the Chi hair straightener. Is it good? The Maxiglide?

The CHI works great! 80-100 dollars ive heard its the best. But ive never heard of a maxiglide

Ok kind of a dumb one I know. But has anyone ever used the Chi hair straightener. Is it good? The Maxiglide?

The maxi glide works wonders for me, I am Multiracial and have very thick corkscrew hair, and this gets my hair pin straight with no chemicals. The detangling pins is what really helps those other flat irons just flatton the hair not straughten it.

Ok kind of a dumb one I know. But has anyone ever used the Chi hair straightener. Is it good? The Maxiglide?

I use the maxiglide..as a woman of color it did the job of straighting out my hair i just dont like the steamer part of it because i draws my hair back up so i dont use that part...

Anyone know where in OTTAWA they sell CHI silk infusion for hair?? is at WALMART and others?

yea so does nyone know where CHI silk infusion is sold in retail stores accross ottawa? cuz i desparrelty need it! thanks!

Anyone know where in OTTAWA they sell CHI silk infusion for hair?? is at WALMART and others?

i have no idea. but i know where im from we only have ONE store that carries CHI products %26amp;it is a professional store that you must have your license to buy. It is a new store that just opened up called Cosmo Prof. All of the other professional supply stores here dont carry it.

Anyone know where in OTTAWA they sell CHI silk infusion for hair?? is at WALMART and others?

Look to see if you have an Ulta in the area, they sell it. Also be wary about buying salon name products from walmart and such because none of those are the real deal product. Most have been watered down or something totally different. Also check with your local salons, make a few phone calls they should either have it or know where to get it.

Anyone know where in OTTAWA they sell CHI silk infusion for hair?? is at WALMART and others?

st-Laurent mall there's a Lil booth in the mall they sell good ones there

Where can I get Chi hair products?

I looooooooove Chi hair products, but the only place I know that sells them (not online) is Trade Secret, but the nearest Trade Secret is 20 minutes away and I'm runing out of Silk Fusion and I don't have time to go to Trade Secret. Does anyone know any other stores that sell Chi products, or how I can look up salons that might sell them? Or does anyone know if ULTA carries Chi products?

Where can I get Chi hair products?

Ulta does carry Chi products. That is where I get mine. I love them.

Where can I get Chi hair products?

Yes, ULTA salons do carry CHI products-call your local ULTA to see how extensive their selections are.

Where can I get Chi hair products?

I live in Texas and I have gotten all my CHI stuff at HEB. they have the straightning irons and all the products to go along with it and they are cheaper than at any salon.

Where can I get Chi hair products?

you can get them at the je penny salon were i live

Are chi straighteners the best out there?

i have really REALLY thick hair...and i know chi straighteners are good but are they the best? or should i do another approach to get my hair less thick...i've already had it thinned and layered at the salon but it's still thick

Are chi straighteners the best out there?

I have REALLY thick hair too. I use it, and my hair looks FANTASIC! I highly reccomend it. Don't thin ur hair out anymore. You dont want to have too thin hair when it used to be very thick é–³?Julie

Are chi straighteners the best out there?

Yes i have a CHI and i love it beacuse i have really think hair too. good luck!

Are chi straighteners the best out there?

my sister recently bought a chi, but i have a true ceramic pro, the chi seems to make my hair look smoother and shinier. but the true ceramic pro, makes it much straighter. hope this helps.

Are chi straighteners the best out there?

Chi is the best only because they come with a comb attachment that flattens and straightens hair. Fhi irons are hotter.

Are chi straighteners the best out there?

i use a flat iron and i have thick hair it shows beauty use 1 of the flat irons and it will let your hair be cute and thick at the same time

Are chi straighteners the best out there?

well i have the same problem my hair is really thick and most straightners can't control it ....the ones i use are morphy richards they're reasonably good but the best ones i think that are out there are the GHD ....the are well known for there brilliant high tech performance they also make your hair thin and shiny they may be abit more expensive but they are definately what you may need

hope i could help! XXX

Are chi straighteners the best out there?

Does CHI SILK INFUSION PRO HAIR SERUM work?

I have VERY dry hair and i was wondering if any of you have tried it. If so, did it work well for you?

Does CHI SILK INFUSION PRO HAIR SERUM work?

I have the product, and I have tried it before, but honestly, the differenct that I noticed wasn't that great. I've read so many reviews about it that claim it's a miracle worker when it's really not that great. The bottle I bought was tinyyy, and it cost 14 dollars. Save your money, and just go for serums sold in drugstores. They work just as well, if not better.

Has anyone tried the chi hair treatments?

My hair is very curly and frizzy. I've been looking into trying the chi hair straightening treatments.

Before I do it, I was looking for some feedback maybe by people who have had it. Like, do you think it's worth the money? Did it stay straight even when it gets wet? Can you have it done more than once without severely damaging your hair?

Has anyone tried the chi hair treatments?

Farouk's CHI hair system is only to be used by people who've NEVER had their hair permed, relaxed or dyed. If your hair has been through any of these procedures, the chemicals used in the CHI process will seriously damage it. I know of one person who ended up losing all her hair after it became brittle from the process.

Many salons will tell you that it's safe to have the CHI process done on any type of hair so long as you use a pre-processing system - also sold by Farouk - to improve its condition. This is rarely true. After more than twenty years working with hair, my stylist can tell you the odds are pretty bad. She even took the CHI course with Farouk, and told me it's really not worth it.

After your hair has been straightened - which takes about six hours of processing - you need to keep up the work by using CHI-brand shampoo, conditioner, oils, dryer and straight-iron. (Yes, they actually sell a straight-iron even though the process is supposed to let you forget about them). Also, you'll need a touch-up on your roots as the hair grows.

Finally...yes, it does look straighter than your natural hair, even after letting it air-dry, but as far as I've seen, it DOES NOT look like the hair on the commercials or ads.

Has anyone tried the chi hair treatments?

i have the chi...but it messes up alot...i'm on my 5th one from 2 years.....so i don't know.....plus i barely use a straightner

Bleaching dead hair!?

about a month ago i died my hair dark dark brown (almost black) but it is a dark brown now. (no where near black) anyways, is it too early to bleach my hair?

i use a chi straitener daily but i use all the chi iron protection for when i blowdry my hair and straiten it so its not totally fried but still...

what do you thinK? am i ready!?

Bleaching dead hair!?

You need to take it easy with the heat styling for a while and use some strengthening treaments on your hair.....and a Deep Condtioner once a week...and possibly a trim.

I recomend this Aphogee treatment as shown below. When you get the bottle read and follow the directions carefully before you buy it. Also use it once every 6 weeks. It it's the best

http://www.sallybeauty.com/shop/1215/670...

Take good care of your hair and wait another 4 to 6 weeks. To lighten it.

Bleaching dead hair!?

Yesss don't even bleach it for a while. If you hair is dead its dead. Theres no way to get rid of damaged hair. I don't know why you want to dye you rhair back so soon...

Bleaching dead hair!?

no...u definately shouldnt.....ur hair will just get much worse if u bleach it. I think you should make sure you use special moisture shampoo, conditioner, and weekly treatments and then maybe consider bleaching it in about 1 month or so......hope i helped and good luck :)

Bleaching dead hair!?

Or you could just get a haircolor removing product, instead of bleaching. Hair's dead to begin with, but you don't want to damage it anyway. Sally's has a product called "one'n only colorfix by jheri redding", that doesn't contain ammonia, bleach, or formaldehyde, and it's non damaging. i've used it and it works pretty well. and you can use it no matter how long it's been since you dyed your hair. if that doesn't interest you, then you're okay to bleach it. but use a warm dryer to help speed up the process, otherwise it's gonna take forever for that dye to come out.

What's the cheapest way to get a new Chi hair straightener?

in stores or on the internet.

What's the cheapest way to get a new Chi hair straightener?

we sell them in the salon where i work.. but i have seen them on like ebay and that and they are cheaper than even i can get them at cost price.. but that doesn't mean that they are gonna be new or come with a garranty

What's the cheapest way to get a new Chi hair straightener?

You can try ebay, I usually just wait until they go on sale at Armstrong McCall and find a stylist to grab you one, since you need to be a licensed stylist to shop there. Or just save, it's a great investment!!!!

What's the cheapest way to get a new Chi hair straightener?

if you try ebay, i wanted one but found something even better for sooo much cheaper it is called a JDL ceramic hair iron. it resembles the Bion. i spent only $20.00 with careful bidding. i promise you will love it

What's the cheapest way to get a new Chi hair straightener?

Honestly I just asked my hairstylist and she called the beauty supply place and got one for me and it just happened to be on sale. I think I saved $30 plus whatever mark-up the salon would have priced it at. Never hurts to ask!

What's the cheapest way to get a new Chi hair straightener?

How to improve wavy hair and straighten it

What's the cheapest way to get a new Chi hair straightener?

NO WHERE IT IS EXPENSIVE EVERY WHERE.

I get split ends from my chi straightener?

well i have VERY FRIZZY wavyish/ curlyish hair is so ugly and wild

i have to straighten my hair everyday for school because if not i look like a lion. I have been using a chi straightener for about 3 years

and i have so many split end its so gross

i pick them and they keep comming back

in summer its really humid so i cant do anything with my hair

i use the chi serum that was like 50 bucks its not really working i cant find anything else that works. my hair is oily

and it looks greasy if i put any thing else in it

i was wondering if there are any straighteners out there that dont give you split ends AND WORK?

I get split ends from my chi straightener?

You're not supposed to pick split ends. That's causing even more damage to your hair. You need to get your hair trimmed every 6 weeks. Also, use some sort of heat protection on your hair daily. All heat products will give split ends if used too much.

I get split ends from my chi straightener?

Just turn down the heat setting.

I get split ends from my chi straightener?

Ditch the chi's and by GHD straighteners ! I got mine aroud a month ago and before it took ages to straighten my hair and it always went a bit frizzy and now it hardly takes any time at all and it always stays perfect, with no split ends, GHD's are a bit expensive but soooooo worth it !

I get split ends from my chi straightener?

Try the Chi 44 Iron Guard....the serum is for thicker/coarser/dryer hair. Whoever sold that to you was misinformed. As for the split ends, get a hair cut.

I get split ends from my chi straightener?

my hair is the eact same and i have spent forever trying all this stuff out and this is the best

-first use matrix biolage smooth therapie i no it is pricie but it is the best stuff ever and i love it sometimes they have a sale at utla and i buy like 10 bottles of the shampoo and conditioner

-then put in bed head after party again pricie but it works wonders and it last for ever cuz you use so little with out it making your hair greasy

-tresemme heat tamer protective spray use it always before heat

-then straighten i have a solia one inch it was 99 bucks and works so much better than a chi cuz i tried my friends it sucked

-finally to keep it like that during the summer spray in some tres two by tresemme and comb it through it will stay all day long

btw DONT PICK YOU DEAD ENDS it maked them deader and thats not a word but you get my point just get a hair cut

I get split ends from my chi straightener?

Heat styling products cause split ends. All you can do is take better care of your hair. You need to get your hair trimmed EVERY 6 weeks. You need to deep condition. Before using the flat iron, try blowing your hair out first, this way you aren't frying your hair as much. Also, wrap your hair up at night and cover with a stocking cap. This will keep your hair straight and prevent breakage while you sleep. And you won't need to iron your hair in the morning, since it will be straight. Try to only iron your hair when you wash it (only wash twice a week if you can manage).

I get split ends from my chi straightener?

john frieda hair serum in the orange bottle for heat tools. i have a CHI too , and ive used it for 2 yrs and my hair is ALL split ends, because like you, i straighten it 6 times a week, every week . i cut my split ends off myself, but you should probably get a trim. theres no way your not going to have NO split ends , because your killing your hair, so your going to have some. use a hair masque every week. (deep conditioner)

Where else, like a store, do they sell the Chi hair straightner, other than in beauty salons?

I know Sally's doesn't carry it. Any suggestions?

Where else, like a store, do they sell the Chi hair straightner, other than in beauty salons?

Most places don't carry CHI, you can get them from your hair dresser though.. They should be able to order them for you, maybe even at a discounted price being a professional.

Where else, like a store, do they sell the Chi hair straightner, other than in beauty salons?

Try Amazon and Folica.

Good luck! :)

Where else, like a store, do they sell the Chi hair straightner, other than in beauty salons?

I love Chi products! I have not found it in any other stores. You may want to try Ulta or this other site. Good Luck.

Where else, like a store, do they sell the Chi hair straightner, other than in beauty salons?

JC PENNY right by the hair salon. i dont know where you live but here on the west coast , they are in every pennys.

Where else, like a store, do they sell the Chi hair straightner, other than in beauty salons?

Theres a place where i live called wholesale beauty supply..idk if they have them where i live but they carry chi's. The JCPenney's here carries them too, they are inside the hair salon their though. Also, try ebay, thats where i got mine.

Where else, like a store, do they sell the Chi hair straightner, other than in beauty salons?

My Target carries Chi products.

Where else, like a store, do they sell the Chi hair straightner, other than in beauty salons?

I have a beauty license and can purchase them from Armstrong McCall but actually got one cheaper by bidding on it on Ebay. Even with the shipping it was less. When looking you can enter Chi Bling and it will bring up the ones they had at Christmas, but you have to watch because the do have some that come with Chi products but are not really Chi irons just the product.

Frizzy Hair Question.?

Ok, my hair is naturally frizzy and what I was told was to use CHI Flat Iron on my hair and then use CHI Silk Fusion after I'm done to keep my hair from drying out. But my thing is what if you can't afford all of that. Because I was looking online and all of this will cost me $159.00 and I really cant afford that right now. So is there anything out there that is cheaper that works just as good?

Frizzy Hair Question.?

The maxiglide flat iron and frizz ease serum is just as good. Bed Bath and beyond carries these items. The maxiglide is 80 bucks, but I got it for 65 with a Bed Bath and beyond 20% off coupon. Bed Bath and Beyond also accpets expired coupons and coupons from other competetors such as Linen's N things. Bed Bath and Beyond also sells the Chi and you can use the coupon on that item too. Seriously, when purchasing a quality ceramic iron you will need to spend at least 70 bucks. There are cheaper ceramic coated irons, but these will burn out your hair. Save up some money and get what will preserve your hair in the end. Sally beauty supply cells a Chi Knock off for 60 bucks. I've never tried it, but if u go to the store and ask for their generic Chi, they'll know what u need.

Frizzy Hair Question.?

Nope look at Target by the hair supplies.Maybe Bed-Head can help.:o) Oh and that's what it's called.

Frizzy Hair Question.?

Chi flat iron are the best. I tried an inexpensive iron when my CHI broke, it was terrible and it fried my hair. It is worth the 110.00 for the iron. You can get Matrix flat iron spray to protect your hair befor using iron $13. Don't waste $ on a $20 iron. they don't work!

Frizzy Hair Question.?

Ok well i went to my hair salon and they have this CHI spray for shine fusion and it also controls naturally frizzy hair (i have frizz too) and i bought it for only $12, but i would not use a $100 flat iron unless your hair is SUPER messed up, its just a waste of money, u should try the spray its awsome...or i also read in Seventeen magazine that u can buy John Freida Frizz Ease hairspray that doesnt make your hair stiff but it just controls frizz and fly aways. hope i helped.

=)Ashleyy

Frizzy Hair Question.?

Go to Sally Beauty Supply and buy a ceramic iron. As for products try Paul Mitchell's Super Skinny Line. This Product actually shrinks the hair, so the frizz is under control. the serum is the best. its a leave n conditioner and locks out humidity.

Frizzy Hair Question.?

I thought I had naturally frizzy hair, until I discovered that it was pretty curly.

I have a couple of options for you:

1.) Next time you are in the shower after putting conditioner in, comb through your hair completely. Then when you get out of the shower, dry your hair and then put gel or mousee in it and srunch it with your hands. Then you can either dry it with a diffuser which does not cost much at all or you can just let it air dry.

2.) If you want straight hair, use a white conair flat iron. But if you do that. . .make sure that you condition very well frequently, so it won't dry out your hair.

Frizzy Hair Question.?

My sisters hair is sooooooo frizzy she tried everything for years. She is now 24 and has started using John Fredia's Frizz Ease. Hope that this helps you it helped her.

Frizzy Hair Question.?

Go to Sally's Beauty Supplies and the prices are just right. Also, I have heard that the Suave conditioner that is for smoothing the hair does wonders as a conditioner. It is only $1.50.

Where is the best place to buy a CHI hair straightener for an affordable price?

ebay is the best place. Just make sure it's a new CHI. I bought my CHI from ebay and it works better than my first CHI that i bought. I bought my new one for $80 instead of the original $165. Hope this helps.

Where is the best place to buy a CHI hair straightener for an affordable price?

look on ebay!

Where is the best place to buy a CHI hair straightener for an affordable price?

Where is the best place to buy a CHI hair straightener for an affordable price?

State beauty supply. I work there and we sell them for way less than anyone else!

Where is the best place to buy a CHI hair straightener for an affordable price?

Wal-Mart

Where is the best place to buy a CHI hair straightener for an affordable price?

if your looking for a cheap one...i would sugest like wal mart or somthing like that!!! dont buy one at a beauty salon because its a rip off!! you can like buy the same one for a cheaper price somewhre else!! haahah yea well i hope this helps!! have fun looking ...er...for a straighter!!! hehe ok lataz%26lt;3

Where is the best place to buy a CHI hair straightener for an affordable price?

Well, it depends what you consider an "affordable" price, because CHI irons are very expensive. I got my CHI iron at Ulta, its this really big beauty supply store, for about $100. And even though they're expensive i think they're definately worth it. I've had the same one for 3 years now and its still as good as new, not to mention it falls off the sink constantly.

How do you curl your hair with a chi? my hair is really long?

-Blow dry your hair straight using a blow drier or a nice flat iron

-Divide your hair into thin sections ans spray each section with curl activator like TREsemme curl activator.

-Using a large barrel hot curling iron, curl each section and repeat until your full hair is done.

-Separate the curls with your fingers and spray them with a good holding spray to keep them in place and control them form becoming poofy.

-For more shine u can spray TREsemme hair shine spray.

Chi flat irons / hair straighteners?

I'm thinking about buying one, so I have a few questions:

1) how much did you pay for yours or what's the general price range? (USD please)

2) where can I buy one for a decent price? (In the US)

3) is it true that it protects your hair from humidity?

4) is there more then one type of CHI brand iron? If so which one is the best, or what are the diffrences?

5) If not CHI - what is another brand of flat iron that preforms just as well/better and how much would it cost (USD) and where can I find it?

Chi flat irons / hair straighteners?

1. $130

2. just about any hair salon

3. yes, i live in georgia, trust me, that is a huge yes

4.don't know; get a 1" so you can get close to the roots

5.only a chi

good luck. i love mine

Chi flat irons / hair straighteners?

well to be honest with you a friend of mine had a chi and i bought a 50$ ceramic iron at my local sally's and mine worked better. just make sure whatever iron u buy has a temp control on it. one that can go as high as 400 degrees i truly believe that temp has alot ot do with it. the ceramic just smooths better, they both fry your hair so dont get fooled into thinking that a more expensive iron wont. it will. also look for a smaller iron (slim) about 1 inch wide try to stay away from wide flat irons they are harder to control. good luck!! sally's also sells a generic version of the chi! site below

Chi flat irons / hair straighteners?

GHD'S are just as good as chi they use them in nearly every hair salon, chi are good aswell tho, i payed 105 pound for my GHD'S. and you can buy them in any hair salon

Does the Chi Straightening Iron work on short thick hair?

I am considering buying one, but I wanted to ask this before I spent all that money. I have shoulder-length layered hair that is thick and naturally wavy. Cheaper straightening irons work on it, but it tends to start flipping outward on the ends after several hours, especially if I'm outside and it's windy. It frizzes up a bit too. Will the Chi work better on my hair? Is it worth the money?

Also, where are they available? Can they be found at places like Target or Wal-Mart?

Does the Chi Straightening Iron work on short thick hair?

No you cant buy CHI at Wal-Mart or Target types of stores, but you can buy them at higher end Spas or Salons, even online(you might be able to find one on ebay NIB if your lucky)!

I bought my CHI at a Spa 3 years ago and its purple with little crystals that spell out CHI on it, I love it not only because it gets super hot but i have very thick hair so this is good for getting all my hair sleek and straight. No matter how many times I have dropped its never cracked, or even lost its color for that fact!! Its long lasting thats for sure!

Now most people dont understand how to use a CHI and then they get upset because their hair is like they used a cheap flat iron (not knocking the cheap ones)! So you want to put your hair up in sections (like up in a ponytail or clip) then take some hair starting at the bottom of your head working up to the top of the head, take about 1 or maybe 2 inches of your at a time and slowly and tightly drag the CHI from root to tip. Make sure your hair is combed nice so you dont get those crinkly pieces! Do section by section until your finished at the top of your head. I know this sounds like alot but you will get the hang of it and be able to do it in about 20 min and i do mine every other day!

Does the Chi Straightening Iron work on short thick hair?

i have one and it was totally worth the money. my hair is a little past my shoulders layered and thick. this straightener leaves it straight and silky. i bought mine at j.c penny. but they have them at target too. not wal-mart they dont have them there

Does the Chi Straightening Iron work on short thick hair?

defintely works on all hair. its amazing. buy it at ulta. if you get a coupon from there then its a pretty solid deal.

Does the Chi Straightening Iron work on short thick hair?

yeah well i dont have thick hair kind of but not that much but it is really wavy and well the chi does work it keeps it super straight all day and u can even do curl when u straighten it. they come out super pretty and it only takes me 20min and it looks like 1hr hair do but if u ask me i think its worth it my sister has super curly thick hair and it even works for her it doesnt get that straight but it still looks nice!! so i think its worth it!! but it does get a little wavy from the back just a little on when i like put my hood one for a long time it does get wavy but only the back and very little but other than that its worth it i got mine at HEB for $119 the black on!!

Does the Chi Straightening Iron work on short thick hair?

STOP! Do not get a CHI!

Get a Sedu, I've had both it is amazing!

Does the Chi Straightening Iron work on short thick hair?

In my experience, CHI isn't that great. Doesn't get hot enough to really be efficient for thick hair. You need something that can go up to about 450 degrees, and CHI's highest setting is somewhere in the 300's. Fine for normal hair, but thick hair needs something hotter. Solia's good (that's what I use now), and Sedu is good too. None of these things can be purchased at cheap stores, though. If you want a good price, try folica.com or even eBay.

Anyone know where i could get the CHI hair iron????

I bought mine from Bed, Bath and Beyond. You can use the 20 % discount on it too :)

SEDU or CHI?!?

i want to get a hair straightener but before i buy one, i want to investigate. soo im going to ask you guys some questions! first off, my hair is just a little below my sholders, its wavy and i wouldn't say my hair is thick, but its not thin, either.

so which hair straightener is better, chi or sedu?

whats the difference? which one is more expensive? do they burn hair easily? which type do you recomend? if you have/had either one, did you like it?

thank you for your time. *best answer will be chosen*

SEDU or CHI?!?

Sedu. I have curly hair and had been using a cheap flat iron. It was giving me hair breakage and drying my hair out. I bought the Sedu hair straightener a few months ago. It is easy to use, leaves my hair shiny and "dead straight" within 5 minutes of use (after blow drying).

SEDU or CHI?!?

those ones suck and i have curly hair! i use the ION that has many many temp settings! and i freakn love it!!!!! and it was like $40 with a life time warrenty!

SEDU or CHI?!?

I highly suggest the CHI!

SEDU or CHI?!?

Chi works well when it works. There have been a lot of issues with it lately, the most recent being a recall on them. I have no experience with the SEDU but Metropolis and the Bio ionic are amazing! I would forget about the CHI until they fix there flubs

SEDU or CHI?!?

chi for sure.

SEDU or CHI?!?

This Chi is a great straightner.

Chi straightner help? =] [please]?

Ok, well i have curly and somewhat frizzy hair. My mom bought me this stuff called sexyhair from a salon and it works great. the only this is when i walk out side my hair frizzed, curls, and looks like sh!t. I have been using a conair straightener. (2 inch, black with gold plates) All my friends have said that the chi works miracles. I was wondering, would the chi help me keep my hair straight throughout the day? Also what products will i need or do you recomend against humidity and hair curling back? Which chi do you think is best for me.

thanks so much! and thanks for reading that ^

Chi straightner help? =] [please]?

Well i own a chi and i LOVE it. my hair is not curly but really frizzy and it controls my frizz all day. Chi also has a line of products to put on your hair to keep the frizz and curls under control as well as keeping your hair from being fried by the heat. I use paul mitchell hair serum, you put it on when your hair is wet and let it dry. Its awsome stuff and makes your hair smell good too.. and best of all...no frizz :)

hope that helped

Chi straightner help? =] [please]?

Eh. The Chi is a good straightener, but it has a massive pricetag. An awsome straightener to get, for around $30, is a Remington Wet to Straight. It straightens your hair and it keeps it straight all day, and depending on your hair, you probably don't have to put any products in it before, but try some mousse or something afterwards so give yourself some volume. But Chi, my teacher had one and I didn't like it. It didn't work as well as they say it does.

Chi straightner help? =] [please]?

I have a CHI straightener and it works really good. After you shampoo dry your hair with a hair dryer and try to straighten as much as you can and then use the CHI iron. It heats up in just a few minutes it will be good and warm. Try to section off your hair it will make it alot easier. Good Luck!!!

Chi straightner help? =] [please]?

I've had Chi's before. Six of them, actually. At least four of which had manufacturing defects and they don't work well anyways. Chi's don't get extremely hot or straighten well. The plates cause your hair to snag fairly often, and it won't keep your hair any straighter. A straightener that worked wonders on my hair though, was a Superstar. It's pure ceramic and gets extremely hot. I have seriously unruly hair and it tamed it instantly. However, it is slightly more expensive than the Chi. If it's really an issue for you, and you have the money to spend i suggest getting your hair chemically straightened.

Chi straightner help? =] [please]?

Try silk drops ( found at Best Cuts, Famous Hair and ect.) to control the frizz. Also try a leave in conditioner like garnier fructis before you blow dry. I have the same problem with my hair frizzing up and this is what I do. Just use a dime amount of silk drops and rub between both hands. Start at your ends and gently rub throughout your hair. Don't use too much at the roots or your hair will go flat and look greasy. Also Chi straighteners are really good. I know a girl who had one and it still works after 4 yrs but she spent like 200$ on it.

Chi straightner help? =] [please]?

okay first of all try a good hair sirum tha is thick. the chi is going to be great for your hair and make a big difference with no frizzies when you step out the door just remember to use a good heat protectant when you use it everytime! like chi iron guard, made by chi for chi. cant go wrong. and it smells great!

Chi straightner help? =] [please]?

I used to have the same problem. I'd kill my hair with about 50 different kinds of straighteners, Conditioners, and creams.

I've never tried a chi, but I've got a BedHead straightener, and it kept my hair straight for a loooong time.

The only thing is that it is slightly more expensive, because it's a salon grade brand. (It's usually about 80 dollars.)

Chi straightner help? =] [please]?

The chi irons are great, but you also want to use an ionic dryer along with the chis. The dryer does not dry your hair out, like other dryers, it actually locks moisture in the core, and drys without drying your hair out. No static cling, or fly away hair. Depending on the humidity where you live you may want to consider a mild relaxer to help with the frizz, if you hair is very soft and curly, and natural, it will be hard to keep it straight if there is alot of moisture in the air.Try the 2 inch chi, since that is the width you have alreay been using. Since you like the sexy hair products, I would try those along with the chi, and see if that makes a difference. The chis really are miracle workers. I believe in them, and I have been a licensed stylist for 27 years. My customers also love them.

Does the chi straightening system ruin peoples hair alot of the time?

I have kind of thin hair ...well its a little thinner than average people hair. Anyway do you think the chemical straightening would be bad for my hair....But I do straighten it everyday with a chi straighten I wanted to know what would be worst and is there a big chance of my hair being like fried or something from chemically straightening???

Does the chi straightening system ruin peoples hair alot of the time?

OMG! No it doesn't. Well no more than other flat irons would. I love my Chi. It is a miracle worker I swear. It doens't ruin my hair. I also have my hair chemically straightened.....

Does the chi straightening system ruin peoples hair alot of the time?

I, as well LOVE my Chi. Any kind of heat can damage your hair so I use heat protectant spray. As for the chemical straightening im not sure if that would damage your hair or which would be worse but im sure the chemical straightenner has some consequences. You may want to check with your hair dresser. Good Luck : )

Does the chi straightening system ruin peoples hair alot of the time?

I've had my hair chemically straightened, but that was a decade ago before I knew about straigtening irons. I have a CHI now, and I love it. I wouln't consider doing any chemical straightening, especially with finer or thin hair.

What biosilk product is good to use when i straighten my hair?

I have very thick, poofy, frizzy, and thick hair. Someone told me to get a Chi to straighten my hair. I am going to but I need a spray for when i do straighten my hair. What shampoo, conditioner, and spray do I need to get?

What biosilk product is good to use when i straighten my hair?

Straight hair is great for square and circle heads, it adds length to your head.

Steps

1. Start by using straightening shampoo and conditioner. Use Sunsilk. Remember: ALWAYS use conditioner, without it your hair can get dry from loss of moisture and damaged from combing hair with lots of knots.

2. Once a week you should use an intensive moisture treatment. It will weigh down your hair to make it straighter and put the moisture in that the flat iron took out.

3. Put on Sunsilk 24/7, leave in a straightening creme in your just washed damp hair and blow dry until completely dry. It will protect your hair from the blow dryer. Put some more in to protect it from the straightener. Straighten knot-less hair as usual. Put a serum in. Use CHI silk infusion. It smells good.

Tips

* You might want to put baking soda in your shampoo once a week(the day before you do the moisture treatment) to take out excess shampoo residue.

* Comb hair regularly.

Warnings

* Using a straightener without care can dry your hair out and can make it scary if you don't take care of it.

* Yes, a straightener can catch your house on fire.

* Do NOT touch the straightener. Usually it's over the boiling point of water, so it WILL BE HOT.

Things You'll Need

* Straightening creme.

* Straightening shampoo and conditioner (not mixed together. It should be separate).

* CHI silk infusion (you can only find this at some hair shops. A small one should last you 5 months).

* A GOOD straightener.

* A blow dryer

* A shower..

Hope it helps.Good Luck!!

What biosilk product is good to use when i straighten my hair?

I have crazy, thick, curly, frizzy hair also and after many years of screwing it up I have found the right products for straightening without too much damage, as well as good results.

I realize that you specified Biosilk but I have found with "our" type of hair Biosilk is not the best product.

1. Start with Joico silk results smoothing shampoo %26amp; conditioner,

2. While your hair is still wet use Joico silk results straight smoother blow dry creme (this stuff is magic). You can blow dry or let your hair dry natrually.

3. When hair is completly dry use Rusk thermal STR8 spray, spray your hair with it before using the flat iron.

4. I alternate between Biosilk silk therapy and Joico silk results sheer gloss. The biosilk normally makes my hair too greasy. But you will get good shine from both.

As far as the flat iron , I hear the Chi is great but I have the Infrashine flat iron and I love it, so do my friends.

Good luck

How much do Paul Mitchell and Chi Hair Straightners Cost?

I was just wondering cause I'm planing on getting one of them. PLZZ be specific on the prices. I need to know exactly how much they cost.

How much do Paul Mitchell and Chi Hair Straightners Cost?

I got a Chi turbo for about $120. I have had it for almost two years and it works perfectly. Please don't listen to others and get a $30 straightening iron...you will rack up over $120 for replacing all of the $30 ones or hunting for another one that works better. I have had those straightening irons and they do not work well at all. Spend the money and get something that will last you a long time.....I don't know about Paul Mitchell, but Chi's are wonderful and worth the money...

Hair straighteners...SEDU vs. CHI ???

i want to get a new straightener but i also want to be able to curl my hair with it...so far im deciding between a sedu or a chi...which ones better??

im also open to others as long as there good... THANKS!!

Hair straighteners...SEDU vs. CHI ???

Sedu is the best thing that has ever happened to my hair. I have fine extremely curly hair, that frizzes up to a big afro with the first sign of humidity. It takes me over an hour to blow dry my hair straight. And I have to put all kinds of product in it. Then I have to do a hair wrap to keep it smooth. I have tried everything, including Thermal Reconditioning which worked great, until all my hair started to break and fall off. Every time I comed my hair, my bathroom floor looked like a rug. Not to mention, I still had to spend an hour blowdrying my hair. It just didn't frizz afterwards. After endind up with a third less hair and a bold spot in front of my head, it was clear I would not do that to my hair again.

With Sedu, my hair is perfectly straigh, with no frizz, and increadible shine. When I first got it, I had washed my hair 2 days before and had put it up on a braid. When I let my hair down it had dried up into this curly frizzy mess. I was able to make it pin straigh with very little effort, and best of all, whithout any blow-drying. It looked the same way as when I got the Bio-ionic treatment done. One thing, if it doesn't work for you, you might need to make the temperature hotter. I straighten all my hair out, when I realized I could make the iron hotter. That's when my hair turned into a dream come true. When my sister saw my hair, she told me, she wanted a Sedu for X-mas. I actually got mine a week ago. I took it on a 3 day trip to the keys (Florida)and had beautiful straight hair the whole time. I just did it again today, and was turning heads everywhere. I'm I glad I didn't get that $350 bio-ionic flat iron. Take it from the most critical people in the world (my sister and I) this thing is awesome!!! get one. It is worth every penny and more.

The main difference between Sedu and CHI is: you can adjust temperature on Sedu, while the temp is fixed on CHI (not a good thing).

Hair straighteners...SEDU vs. CHI ???

Get a CHI - they are awesome and I'm able to straighten or curl my hair with it.

Hair straighteners...SEDU vs. CHI ???

Chi's are fabulous for both straightening and curling hair, however i don't know about a SEDU.

Hair straighteners...SEDU vs. CHI ???

CHI works wonders for my hair. I've never used a Sedu but I can't imagine my hair getting any straighter. It also doesn't dry my hair out

What is better and a better price than the CHI?

I have looked at those and yes, they look amazing but I also looked at the comments and the prices! A lot say that they break and I don't have the kind of money to pay that much just for a couple of years with a CHI.

I have wavy hair...and I hate it! I found one that is similar to the CHI on Amazon but I don't know if it will work.

I need one that I can kinda use every day. And can you also tell me YOUR feedback on the straightener!

What is better and a better price than the CHI?

The MAXIGLIDE! It's the best. It makes your hair really soft, it straightened MY thick, frizzy hair in only twenty minutes (ALL OF IT!) and it let's you know when it's done heating so you don't have to guess, like with most flat irons. I love it. And it's only about 70 dollars at Bed, Bath and Beyond.

What's so special about a Chi Hair Straightener?

They are amazing. Its gets so hot so fast! It makes getting my kinky curls out quick. It works awesome with bio silk.

Also with a little practice you can curl your hair out or under.

What's so special about a Chi Hair Straightener?

it will make any kind of curly or wavey hair really straight and it heats up really fast there pretty much better than any other and sharper image ones are good too.

What's so special about a Chi Hair Straightener?

THats the best straightner of all..it straights hair soo good without making it frizzy or damaging it..i wish i had a chi starightner...

Where can u find a chi in plano?

where in plano, tx can u find a chi. i have curly hair and i'd like to get one before the summer ends

Where can u find a chi in plano?

you can find a chi iron at about any nice salon. Call around to some of the local salons and ask them, i recommend comparing prices first bc they are expensive and every one charges differently, but it is the best iron out there especially if u do have cury hair. Also if u get one, snag the chi serum too, its awesome!!!

What does a diffuser for a chi hair dryer do?

A diffuser is used to give your hair natural curls. That is if your hair has natural waves. I don't know the effect it would have on someone with naturally pin straight hair............... I think a freind told me once that it does nothing to naturally staright hair.

What does a diffuser for a chi hair dryer do?

It diffuses, I believe.

What does a diffuser for a chi hair dryer do?

keeps you from looking like a poodle

What does a diffuser for a chi hair dryer do?

When you put it on the end of the hair dryer and use it in your hair, it makes it "scrunchy"

What are some cute hair syles, that dont involve cutting or dying hair?
