I get split ends from my chi straightener?

well i have VERY FRIZZY wavyish/ curlyish hair is so ugly and wild

i have to straighten my hair everyday for school because if not i look like a lion. I have been using a chi straightener for about 3 years

and i have so many split end its so gross

i pick them and they keep comming back

in summer its really humid so i cant do anything with my hair

i use the chi serum that was like 50 bucks its not really working i cant find anything else that works. my hair is oily

and it looks greasy if i put any thing else in it

i was wondering if there are any straighteners out there that dont give you split ends AND WORK?

You're not supposed to pick split ends. That's causing even more damage to your hair. You need to get your hair trimmed every 6 weeks. Also, use some sort of heat protection on your hair daily. All heat products will give split ends if used too much.

Ditch the chi's and by GHD straighteners ! I got mine aroud a month ago and before it took ages to straighten my hair and it always went a bit frizzy and now it hardly takes any time at all and it always stays perfect, with no split ends, GHD's are a bit expensive but soooooo worth it !

Try the Chi 44 Iron Guard....the serum is for thicker/coarser/dryer hair. Whoever sold that to you was misinformed. As for the split ends, get a hair cut.

my hair is the eact same and i have spent forever trying all this stuff out and this is the best

-first use matrix biolage smooth therapie i no it is pricie but it is the best stuff ever and i love it sometimes they have a sale at utla and i buy like 10 bottles of the shampoo and conditioner

-then put in bed head after party again pricie but it works wonders and it last for ever cuz you use so little with out it making your hair greasy

-tresemme heat tamer protective spray use it always before heat

-then straighten i have a solia one inch it was 99 bucks and works so much better than a chi cuz i tried my friends it sucked

-finally to keep it like that during the summer spray in some tres two by tresemme and comb it through it will stay all day long

btw DONT PICK YOU DEAD ENDS it maked them deader and thats not a word but you get my point just get a hair cut

Before using the flat iron, try blowing your hair out first, this way you aren't frying your hair as much. Also, wrap your hair up at night and cover with a stocking cap. This will keep your hair straight and prevent breakage while you sleep. And you won't need to iron your hair in the morning, since it will be straight. Try to only iron your hair when you wash it (only wash twice a week if you can manage).

john frieda hair serum in the orange bottle for heat tools. i have a CHI too , and ive used it for 2 yrs and my hair is ALL split ends, because like you, i straighten it 6 times a week, every week . i cut my split ends off myself, but you should probably get a trim. theres no way your not going to have NO split ends , because your killing your hair, so your going to have some. use a hair masque every week. (deep conditioner)
