Does the chi straightening system ruin peoples hair alot of the time?

I have kind of thin hair ...well its a little thinner than average people hair. Anyway do you think the chemical straightening would be bad for my hair....But I do straighten it everyday with a chi straighten I wanted to know what would be worst and is there a big chance of my hair being like fried or something from chemically straightening???

OMG! No it doesn't. Well no more than other flat irons would. I love my Chi. It is a miracle worker I swear. It doens't ruin my hair. I also have my hair chemically straightened.....

I, as well LOVE my Chi. Any kind of heat can damage your hair so I use heat protectant spray. As for the chemical straightening im not sure if that would damage your hair or which would be worse but im sure the chemical straightenner has some consequences. You may want to check with your hair dresser. Good Luck : )

I've had my hair chemically straightened, but that was a decade ago before I knew about straigtening irons. I have a CHI now, and I love it. I wouln't consider doing any chemical straightening, especially with finer or thin hair.
