Better hair straighener than Chi (and similarly priced)?

I know that Chi works reeally well at straightening my hair, but I was wondering if there are any straighteners that are better overall-in terms of not damaging my hair from heat, etc., but still straighten quickly. (I have just-past-the-shoulder wavy hair and would like to use the flat iron every other day, or so.) Thanks!!!

I have a Solia and I love it it is just like the Chi but the Solia works way better on my hair then the Chi. It heats up really fast and goes up to 450 you can control the temperature. It is pure ceramic and has ionic technology in it to help with the frizz and keep hair straight longer. It adds tons of shine to my hair. It was $88 tax and s%26amp;h free at www.folica.com

"Bio Ionic" is actually a pretty great hair straightener. It leaves my hair really silky and smooth and it only takes like 5 seconds to heat up. I do recommend this one!

ps - my hair is curly/waivy, frizzy etc...so it does wonders on my hair.

Cheers!

a straightener is going to have heat which means it is going to damage you hair but chi makes this stuff called iron guard (google chi iron guard) that is supposed to help your hair hold up better against the heat

PS i have a chi and you are right they work GREAT

Use an ionic flat iron. It will not curl back easly.

Solia makes a Tourmaline Ceramic Ionic Flat Iron.

According to the Solia flat iron website, "tourmaline,

a precious stone, is used to generate up to 6 times more

negative ions than traditional ceramic irons".( $75/85)
